Good morning all. How have we done this week. I have not done my best so didn't lose anything. Actually I am back up a couple of lbs. I think I will try going back to the liquids a couple of days and see how I make out. It was not because of the P/B. It was because of what I put in my mouth. I truely beleave the P/B works if we work it. Lets hear from everyone no matter how you have done. Has anyone stuck to week 2? Lets here from you. I have uped the exercise and am going to visit a friend today who is having surgery. I am taking lunch. Chocolate protein shake. See all lighter. Joanne

Hi all, I weighed in last week at 173 and this week I have stayed the same. It has been a rough week with eating. Dr. put me on this medication and I swear all I can think about is food. When I do eat though I have been trying to keep it high protein, low carb. I think that is the only reason I have kept the 4 lbs. from last week that I lost off. Can't wait to see what this week brings. Good Luck to all of you this week. Tara surgery 289/173/150

Hi All, I tried to go back on the liquids today cause I've gotten off track but my resolve was not there. Oh well--there is always tomorrow. I did join a Gym today. I was walking pretty good till the beginning of Dec. but then it got really cold and Christmas and all and you know how it is. I can find a MILLION reasons not to exercise. Well I did a mile on a treadmill and thought I was gonna die!!! It doesnt take long to get out of shape. I heard a physician talking about the benefits of exercise and how the problem is not getting started --it's staying started! Boy- how true that is. Well I'm glad I've got you guys to bounce these things off of. I know you understand. Thanks again just for being there. Talk to ya soon Jackie

Jackie, I am about the same as you. I have been going to the gym but the Dr. is right. The first time kills you so keeping it up is hard. Hang in there. They say there is a chemical in our brain that kicks in and we actually like to exercise. I do like to exercise but I have to force myself to go. Once I am there I love it. Of course we understand and that is what we are here for so BLAST AWAY. You will be doing 2 miles before you know it. I try to do 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes treadmill and 20 minutes on the efx. I do weight machines 3 days a week. I am there about 1 1/2 hours but that is me time. Congradulations for taking the first step. See you lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne Im feeling pretty down at the moment, so dont know whether I should post this but I went back to see my dr yesterday and he has to agree with me that the surgery hasnt been as successful for me as we had hoped. He said its very rare but some people do everything by the book and the restrictive part of the surgery goes fine but the mal absorb. part dosnt work. Im so shattered. I literally have been through hell and back for this surgery and find that I am going to be the "one". I thought once I had this surgery, I would have problems in not losing too much weight. I am still having a hard time letting this sink in. I am so disappointed. I will keep on my diet but the effort sometimes just gets to me. Sorry to moan. Hope things keep going well for you. hugs from down under Helen
