Hi all. How is everyone doing this week on the challenge. I heard from 7 people with the first week results for a total loss of 45 lbs. NOT BAD especially since many of us had not lost and like me even gained. Myself I haven't done my best this week. I did join the Y and have been exercising alot. I am really determined to get this 50 lbs off by May. Hopefully my body is catching up for the weight I lost last week. See all lighter. Joanne

Joanne: I had surgery yesterday on my foot. It was quite extensive and will put me out of commision for quite some time. I was wondering where everyone is too. I try to follow with what people are doing, but not too many people are responding to this,,perhaps they are just busy and cannnot get to the post. I am pleased that there was a 45 lb loss. That is just fantastic. I hope people are not losing hope with this...It works if you give it a try. I will be unable to weigh in as I am non weight bearing for the next several months. I will post as soon as I am able. But I am on alot of pain meds right now,,,I am also pretty bummbed that I will be unable to exercise. I am going to stick to the liquid protein as I will once again be sedentary. This saddens me more than anything. I am like you who is hoping to get the last 40 lbs off by may. But it is looking bleak at this point...but when my cast comes off.,.i will be on the trail once again,,,you know what they say about keeping a good woman down...wish you well in your gaol... RAE

Rae, I was wondering what happen to you . What did you have done? Beleive me I will be using the P/B several times between now and May. I am very determined to get the 50lbs off and will be exercizing hard. Since I started exercizing I don't have as much time to post but I will still hang in with all. We started a Biggest Loser at work that runs until April so I can't let my team down. Hope you heal fast. 6 months is a long time but you have the rest of your life. Hang in there and listen to the Drs. You will be up and running before you know it. Hey did you see my post ? I actually ran this week. Didn't know I could even do it. See you lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne. Well I continue to be extra good with my diet. I havnt weighed for a couple of days, I have been getting too depressed. I know I am eating really well and exercising, so I know that the weight isnt dropping due to anything I am doing wrong. I am determined to stick to the rules to the letter and just hope against hope that eventually my body will give it up. Today for example, B-1 protein shake L-salami and 1 slice cheese S-apple D- 1 slice roast pork. tiny piece of potato, tbs corn and zucchini S-cherries. over 2 litres of water. coffee I hope you are doing well, Joanne, keep at it, and it will work out. hugs from down under Helen

Helen, Hang in there. Don't worry about the number on the scale as long as you are eating right. I know this is really hard for you when you compare everyones weight loss but you have to remember you have a different Dr and body. Each of us is different but on the same journey. I truely beleave this is the year we will all shine. Some a little brighter but we will all look back and see where we came from. I have been reading the book Weight Loss surgery for Dummies. I have learned so much from it in the last two weeks. I really recommend everyone read this book. You will accept yourself and your body more. I know I have. I only wish I had read it about 6 months ago. I am really trying to exercize more . I think I am going to have to work real hard to get this 50 lbs. off by May. Lord knows I need Luck here. See you lighter. Joanne

Hi All, I'm sorry I havent posted this week. My daughter's in-laws had a death in the family and we have been spending time first in the hospital and then the funeral home so I didnt stick to the program at all. In fact I got on the scale this morning and am back up but I'm hoping that's because I have not been drinking the fluids I need and not because of too many bad food choices. I'm thinking I should go back on the liquids again(at least for a couple of days) just to get myself back on track. I didnt get any kind of exercise this week either and I'm sure that didnt help. Oh well back to the drawing board. Hang in there Joanne--you are our cheerleader--you are doing GREAT! And a SPEEDY recovery to Raeanne Talk to you guys soon Jackie
