Hi Everyone, I'm running late today. It's been a busy day but, fun filled. I hope everyone had a great New Year and has an even better 2006, may all your hopes and dreams come true. So, who had a WOW moment(s) this week? My WOW moments were: 1.) Both of my nieces saw me for Christmas and then they saw me again on New Year's day and each one of them came up to me without the other knowing, saying I looked smaller then I did the last time they saw me. 2.) I got up to go in the house and my little brother looked at Tracy and told him I looked like I was 16 from behind. 3.) Tracy and I went to a New Year's Eve party and his son was there with his friends (they are 16) and his son's friends were hitting on me. 4.) I bought my first pair of size 10 pants. WOOHOO 5.) The BEST WOW moment, I reached my surgeon's goal this week. Not my personal goal though. Don't forget to share your WOW moments with us, we love to hear them and cheer you on. Have a great week everyone. Gina

Gina, congrats on your WOW moments. What a wonderful feeling they are! I had a WOW moment the other day. My 11 yr old daughter and I went out to pick up an item from the store. We had seen a young man in the store, he was probably in his mid to late 20's. He was in the armed forces and was dressed in his uniform (not the fatigues but not the dress uniform, not sure what you call them.) He looked pretty good in them though whatever they were. I noticed but not anymore than that. When we were walking to the car he drove by and nodded and smiled at me. I know that wouldn't seem like a lot to the person that has never been overweight but to me it was amazing. I am use to having people snicker and point or make rude comments. So to me this was a very WOW moment. YAHOO!!!!!

WHoo hooo .. those are some awesome WOWs.. congrats. Lol.. getting hit on by a 16 yr old.. that is so cool!!! Congrats on reaching goal. My biggies the last few weeks: 1) Looking in the mirror from that front and back - actually liking what I see 2) Putting on a bathing suit and not freaking out or tearing apart all things I don't like about my body but seeing the things I do like 3) Making it to Onderland before 2006 4) Low Rise Jeans looking good now 5) Size 12's fitting even better 6) Recovering from D&C and back in the gym 4 days later doing 45 min of high intensity cardio with no problem!

Congrats to all of you on your wow moments. I too had several wow moments this past week. The first one may sound silly to some people, but to me it was a HUGE WOW moment. I actually took a bubble bath with my 3 yr old daughter this past weekend. mind you, in the past I wasnt even able to fit into a tub by myself, but this weekend I was in the bath, and my daughter decided to crawl in with me, and there was still lots of room in the tub. 2nd was I went and bought a whole bunch of new clothes for christmas, and they are too big on me. YEAH...and the biggest wow moment came yesterday when I fit into a size 20 regular size jeans. Before surgery I was in a size 30/32 stretch jean, and for me to fit into a regular pair of used gloria vanderbuilt size 20 jeans that zip and have pockets....was AMAZING. Keep up the great work everyone. I am still about 50 lbs short of my own goal, but 2/3 of the way to my goal and feeling great. Down 145lbs as of yesterday. YEAHHHHHH. Anita B 420/275/220 soon

I've had a bunch of WOW moments lately. I put on my leather jacket that barely strained shut before surgery to the point that the material pulled aside to show the zipper and the arms felt short~ anyway, now the arms are way too long and I can actually wrap the coat around myself 1 1/2 times. I saw myself in a picture recently and realized that the shirt that I was wearing needed to be retired because it was simply too big~ I looked like a bag lady wearing it. I finally had to change to a lower bra size. My Size 10's are baggy in the butt and I was wearing Junior 11/12's the other day~ the same jeans I was given two months ago, held up and thought "no way". I am officially at my lowest adult weight ever. It didn't seem possible. I spent all December hanging within 5 pounds of the magic number and somehow feeling that the journey was over~ that I never could beat that 184 (179 on my downstairs scale). A week ago the scale stopped bouncing up and down and since then has dropped. Today I am 181.5. It's kind of dumb but it feels like I crashed through some invisible barrier. I now actually believe, for the first time, that I will achieve a normal BMI.

I had a WOW moment -- I went for a doctor's visit, and I was led into the dressing room and handed a lovely, cushy bathrobe -- "Put this on and then come into the waiting room." I asked "Is it big enough?" She looked at me like I was nuts. Yeah, it was big enough. feistyemm highest 329/presurg 271/now 192/goal 149
