Update on me...

Hello all, I have to let you all know that I have finally got the scale to read the in the negative numbers Once again I was on a plateau for the best of a good month and I got on the scale at the gym this mornin and I am down -168 lbs. today! I can not beleive I broke that plateau, read Rae Ann's post about Breaking Plateau's and followed it for the last couple days... and BAM! I have lost 10 lbs. in the last 8 days. What a feelin! Thanks Rae Ann for that post. You RAWK! So I am at 368 lbs. I don't know what I would do without you all here at OH.com, it would be a real rough road without all the support here. I have finaly got it thru my thick skull that I need to take care of me now and not get so rushy to get into a serious relationship but to have some friends like all of you here on the April board. Because my gf I was seeing for the past 4 years is not interested in a health lifestyle and I just caught her last night messing around with some other guy. So its time to just WORK on Me and someone hopefuly will be knocking on my door! I know its going to happen... But it all takes time, just like they say we did not get this way over night. So we have to have patients and pateints will pay off. Well I Wish all my Friends here on the April 2005 msg board a Happy Holiday's and New Year! I am going to be spending my Christmas alone this year as I do not feel comfortable being around all that food and the gossip that comes from my family. So I will be around the net if there is anyone that wants to chat with me just send me a email and I will respond. Again Happy Holiday's to you all and your family's! God Bless, Tom

Tom, You are doing fantastic! I think that after all that we've been through since April that it's really important to take a look at how far we've each come. The holidays are certainly different this year with our new relationship with food and our relationship with ourselves! Tom, Congradulations on your decision making. You will meet that right person someday. Unfortuneately alot of relationship break up after someone has surgery. If you look at the big picture you really see why. Our lives have changed so much. Our views on life look different and things that were important to us change. My family is very obese and are all farmhouse cookers so it is very hard to be around them this time of year. I kinda want to snatch the food from everyone but realize this is a personal choice. It is kinda hard to keep my mouth shut but on the most part I will. I will be glad when the madness is over. I am reflecting on my life over the past year and looking forward to the up coming year and all that is instore for us all. I can't wait for this time next year and look back on us all and our accomplishments. We are the bomb!!!! See you lighter. Joanne

Tom, I am sooo proud of you!! Remember good things come to those who wait..How long has it been since you put yourself FIRST on your list of priorities??? You deserve this time to take care of you! aND LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE DOING SUCH A GOOD JOB!! My family, I raised to center their lives and celebrations around food... ( I was such a fool) now they are overweight and I am loosing.. I learned to late in their lives that food will kill you if not taken only for survival. Yesterday they threw fits because I made the 2 Hams (protien) and have a veggie tray, No mashed potatoes or noodles... They even said I was unAmerican!! Didnt stop them from devouring my hams... So while they ate I got to sit at the table in the dining room feeding my grandaughters (triplets) who need to gain weight... I did make them pumpkin pie and bought a big cookie.. the cookie is soo rich I puke thinking about taking a bite and the pumpkin pie.. well it wasnt so bad... Merry Christmas to all...
