Good morin Folks! Its the day after the Turkey Day and all is calm in my little ol' pouchie!! I was just wondering how my fellow April-ites Thanksgiving was. For me I have to say it was OK, I went over to my folks and my Aunt and Uncle were there, actualy they picked my up and I road with them. There was just the 5 of us and a 14 lb. turkey and all the fixins....LOL! I was kinda nerveous but did alright. I started with a glass of Crystal Light before dinner. Then sat around catching up on gossip for about 45 minutes. Then sat down to dinner at the dineing room table. I took a lil' bit of turkey, mashed potatoes, salad. It was kinda wierd watching everyone else pile on the food on there plates. But it was actualy very nice to hear the complimenting words come out of their mouthes. I had a couple bites of turkey and the taters and salad and I was full, then I placed my napkin on top and sat there and talked to everyone ... and said, " don't worry about me. Go back for seconds if you want!" Well I have to say I had lost 2 lbs since yesterday morning ... so thats a good thing... So what was your experiance like? Take care, Tom

did ok actually, i did worry about it a little before i arrived at my sisters house but all went well. i had a bite of everything and enjoyed my self immensly. i was down 99 lbs as of yesterday morning so it was a very satisfying day. 1 year ago i was stuffing the food in feeling miserable as ever. this year i sat with my legs crossed nibbleing like a lady.

I think that this is one of the best thanksgivings I have ever had. Usually (the past 13 years) I have been the one to bring our large family together for a HEFTY meal. Turkey, gravy, deviled eggs....and ALL the trimmings. STRESS STRESS STRESS. Well this year I stopped. I decided that since I had already changed most of my life, it was time to stop letting them walk all over me and making me the one to do everything. I decided to stay at home with my husband and kids, make a small turkey with still most of the trimmings....and everyone loved it. We lounged most of the day and didnt even eat until about 6, but nobody cared. It was a great family day. snuggling with my nephew and daughter and watching Disney movies, LOVED IT!!!! And the best part of all was that there was NO ARGUEMENTS, nobody putting anyone down (which is the norm for our family) and NO STRESS. Hope Christmas goes as well. Happy Hollidays to everyone and thanks for all your support. Anita B 420/292/200? someday

TOM, I can honestly say that yesterday was a surreal experience!! I was perfectly content with the SMELLS!! I ate a plate of about 1/2 ounce of turkey a bite of stuffing, mashed potatoes, potato salad, salad, and macaroni and cheese... Then I sat and gabbed for the rest of the evening. Gave my new freind (maybe future girlfriend) a back rub... then we went to her place and had another dinner... similar in makeup as the first one. Gave her a better massage and then spent the evening just being goofy!! Got the tastes so I did not feel deprived at all... wasn't what I was expecting but I love the after thought of it all!! Dave

I grazed... I had a small pc of turkey with some mashed potatoes and then played with my grandaughters while everyone else ate... Then I stacked the dishwasher and grabbed a little cheeseball and couple crackers... later that evening I ate some homemade chocolate pie and some pumpkin pie and split it with my grandaughters. Yesterday it was about the same with leftovers.. SMALL portions but 3 of them... I did soo so... but I didnt over do just made a few bad chices... I have a whole month to learn from this experience.. HI Tom Well we dont celebrate Thanksgiving here but I had an early Christmas/Farewell party for my daughter , today, as she is going on mission to India for 3 months on Thursday. I must admit that since surgery , I hardly eat anything (I have been told I have to eat more to lose more, but I cant bring myself to do it) but today, I really let my hair down and had a glass of pink champagne and a tiny piece of chocolate cake. I must admit I enjoyed it, but although I didnt really dump, I didnt feel wonderful either. I dont know how Christmas will be for me, but I tend to talk so much that no one notices that I dont really eat. hugs from down under Helen

I drank too much wine but didnt eat much..oh,, I did have 2 small slices of dessert..rum cake and 7up cake..both delicious. I dont dump so I "can" overindulge on sweets, but really didnt even with the wine. but the wine was bad enough..I had fun tho. Julia

Tom, My day went really well. I ate very little but enjoyed what I ate. I used the 3 bite rule for desert. Friday I ate a piece of cold turkey and got really sick. While I'm hanging over the trash can my grandaughter is giving me a lecture about making a list of things I can't eat and putting cold turkey on it. Don't know why it made me sick but I ate some hot with gravy that night for diner and made out fine. See you lighter. Joanne
