Haven't lost any weight in over 2 Months!!!!!!
Gosh, am I glad I saw these posts! I, too thought I was the only one who was a "slow loser"!! I have lost about 68 pounds since my surgery on 4/12/05 and although I have (kind of) an excuse, it doesn't make any difference to me...I still want that 100 pound mark to come sooner rather than later. After my surgery, I was on a business trip out east and had to have my thyroid gland removed. A few years ago, I had trouble with it, but was given radioactive iodine, after which I took synthroid. Now, after the surgery to remove the gland, my TSH levels were a rock bottom....I had no energy, no ability to do much more than get out of bed and go to work. Exercise is a problem because I seem to have a pinched nerve in my thigh that acts up if I'm up for more than 10 minutes at a time. I'm not giving up though.....I enjoy everything about my 68 pound loss - sitting in the car with room to breathe, walking without feeling like my back is breaking - benefits too numerous to mention. Don't lose sight of what you've all accomplished thus far....we are in darn better shape than we were last April! Mary Jo
wow.. I really need to read these posts more often. I hadn't been coming here because I didn't want to hear about all the people losing and hitting the century mark, while I sat here with the scale stuck for the past two months. I really thought it was just me. I have been dealing with chronic fatigue since before surgery and haven't been able to do much exercising. I thought that was causing the plateau. Although I'm sure it is contributing to it, there is hope that it is just a normal plateau and will work itself out. Hopefully soon!!
