I Know that this is going to sound gross, and for some of you you wont understand, but last night I took a bath in the regular bathtub for the first time in 14 years. Yes I know that sounds bad, but when you are as big as I used to be, fitting into a normal bathtub was a huge issue, and I wasnt able to just take a bath any time I wanted, so for the past 14 years I have mostly been only a shower a day kind of person. The only time I have been able to take baths is when we were traveling and splurging, and staying at a hotel with a huge jacuzzi tub. So last night I decided, hey I have lost 117lbs, im gonna try to fit my big ol' booty into the tub, and lo and behold, i FIT , and i still had room to move around comfortably. this was a huge moment for me. I still have a long ways to go, but i am sooooo much healthier and happier for having had the surgery done, and look forward to see what the future has in store for me. Anita B. 420/303/200 someday

No I don't think it's gross. I think you had a problem for years and now you've accomplished something great by losing 117 lbs. I'm 6 months post-op tomorrow (27th) and I know I've lost at least 75 lbs but my scale broke and I don't know how much exactly I've lost. I wore 26/28W when I went in for my surgery. I wear 18P jeans and large tops. My hubby says I'm SEXY Yippeeeee keep up the good work. Dale Glass

Hello Anita, Hey I have experiance the same thing...LOL It was about a month ago.. I came in from a walk and I was all sweaty and I just got a lazy -boy chair from the second hand store and said to myself heck if I can sit in the chair without breaking the arms off of it, and I have room on each side of me. I should be able to sit down in the bath tub... Well I go into the bathroom and sat down in the Darn thing, so I hope up and get undressed and start running the water for my BATH! OMG I take a bath every other day now... If I am up late I usually unwind with a cup of tea n' a nice hot bath.... OH its feels so Good... I am glad I am not the only person that felt this way... I am just over 6 monthes out and have lost 145 lbs, my surgery date was on April 18th and I have a ways to go just like you said but you have to remember that there is sooo much support here at OH that it seems overwelming sometimes to me .... Infact I have to give credit to the OH Singles Board for getting to know someone special and I am planning a move clear across the USA to my "New WLS Buddie" my partner for Life in the State of Maine and I live in Alaska. I am moving this Spring.. If I can wait that Long...... This site is soo awesome, Thanks for all the Help OH family... Tom 536/394/250 -145 lbs.

WAY TO GO ANITA (AND TOM, TOO) Next time you take a bath, add candles to the room. And maybe a little soft music. This will really add to the feeling of decadence. Congrats to you. I look foreward to reading more of your journey in your profile. Judy

Not gross at all, and we DO actually understand. I personally almost always take showers.......... anyway because I get too cold where I hang out of the water in a tub..........LOL. That started when I got pregnant for my first child.............. my metabolism never recovered....LOL! But it is great that you fit, and it won't be long until you are sliding around in that tub with the same amount of extra space that a kid has....LOL...... great progress, and no doubt more to come!! natalie
