My mom for the FIRST time in her life gave me her size 12 clothes. We have never been able to ever, ever, ever share clothing. Makeup, shoes, jewlery, but never CLOTHING!! She is more like a size 8 but had some beauitful stuff from when she was bigger. I put on the size 12 black jacket that goes with a suit and while I couldnt button it I still got it on my body which is pretty damn amazing to me. In a couple months I will be able to wear the whole size 12 ensemble and button it. It is a beautiful suit from Jones NY. Has pants or skirt option. She also gave me a size 12 purple wool coat that fits perfect right now!!! I also inheritied two beautiful cashmere sweaters that fit perfect. Just a regular Misses size L. Not 2XL, not 1XL, not XL, not a Women's L, but a MISSES size L. I FIT INTO MY MOTHERS CLOTHING!! This is a huge deal for me and I am so excited. Very, very, cool. Keep in mind I started out 6 months ago a size 22-24. I'm 5'4 and about 215 today.. 36%BF - great muscle base from working out so much. Hoping to get down to under 20% BF. Onerland I can almost see you over the horizon. Here I come!! These days when I catch my refelction walking buy a window or look in them mirror I finally feel like a more normal "healthy-sized" person both inside and out. This journey has been so worth it. Blood pressure has gone from a high of 150/110 to a new low of 116/68!h Happy 6 month re-birthdays all!!

Way to go Stayce!! I know how you feel I got into some of my sisters clothes recently. and I bought size L turtle necks at a garage sale and was amazed I could wear them! Onederland (feels more like OZ) is just 16 pounds away for me and it is getting very exciting!!! Yesterday I walked to much and hurt my knee again reminding me that I will be getting it replaced soon One of the reasons I started loosing in the first place.. You keep it up girl!! Linda

Great Job !!!!! I too just passed by 6 month anniversary. I am wearing size 14 jeans, but I have to wear a belt to keep them up. It does feel so wonderful. I went shopping over the weekend and was giddy when I started trying on misses XL shirts and my husband said that is way to big, I ended up buying a L. It is a wonderful feeling. I am happy for you. The whole adventure since WLS is soo worth it. Not saying that all of us have not had bad days. But I think everyone of us would do it again. Heather 4-11-05 291-196-?

Thanks all. Compact.. lol. That is one I have not heard before. People do say I hide it well and were shocked when I told them how much I started at. I've been a fitness fanatic for several years even prior to weight loss so from lifting I've built good muscle.. but trust me.. I have plenty of fat to spare still. I'm married to a personal trainer/former gym manager so that helps with maximizing workouts. Although I've been slacking the last couple weeks. My hormones are so out of wack. I started back on birth control pills 12 days ago. Today the scale actually went up a couple lbs and I have not been in the gym! I also ate a lot of salt over the weekend. I think I'll just toss the scale in the closet for a while again. It will just drive me nutty. I just feel better by going with how clothes fit. Cong on onderland N G!
