How much do you eat at any one sitting?

I think I may have stretched my pouch already. I can eat between 4-8 ounces, depending on the volume of the food; for example 4 ounces of chicken vs 6-8 ounces of salad... Help, here's my menu from yesterday: B - 4oz. Dannon Light n Fit yogurt S - 8 baby carrots with 1tablespoon of vinairgette L - About 1 cup of Leftover Hamburger Helper, but I didn't eat the pasta, so I probably comsumed about 1/3 cup worth of meat and sauce S - 11.5 ounce can of V8 juice D - about 4 ounces of chicken with 2 forkfuls of rice Yesterday was a bad protein day...but let me know what you think...

The more liquidy it is the more that you can hold. Last night I ate a whole frozen (I cooked it first) stoffers baked chicken breast with some mashed pots. about 3 ounces of meat.. thats why you were able to drink the full 11 oz of V-8 you probably drank slow enough it drained while you were sipping.. Its all in the chew and the solid/ form.. I can eat about 1 cup of hamburger helper if i take a long time to do it. Linda

Thanks...I think I'm getting nervous b/c my loss is slowing down and I don't want to work against myself. My magic 6 months are almost over. I had my surgery on 4/21 and am down 83 pounds but the loss has been very slow the last 6 weeks or so. Anyway, thanks for the reassurance, L*

Mine has slowed too but remember the less we weigh the more it will take to burn off a pound.. add some different exercise. i am.. jus****ch the nonos and when you feel like you arent doing very well go back to just your protien 4 ounces like at the beginning.. i do. We are still in RE training linda

Linda, you've been such a help...I had a horrible food day yesterday, but I started today off right and I refuse to get off track. I'm taking it one day at a time. I wish you lived closer so I could hug you!!! But know this...you have inspired a "loser"!!!

Somewhere on this board is pouch rules for dummies.. I copied the link and put it on Indiana's board as a refresher for people.. It really set my eyes on solid ground!! Even though you can eat more of something..less solid, should you?? Does it have the protien you need? Is the nutritional value worth it? I personally can eat a small peice of chocolate cake without frosting.. (the sugar content in frosting would kill me) but should I?? It is chocolate cake, cookies, donuts that helped put me in the place I WAS.. Yesterday I had my first sip of fountain pepsi. it wasn't that great.. and fear factor from carbonation wasn't worth it.. I appreciate the hug...they are always needed!! Linda

Thats the only way to take it One day at a time!! I know it seems I gained the 200 lbs overnight but it was one bite of the wrong thing that did it.. I quit smoking 11 years ago and the only reason i dont start again is I NEVER want to quit again. It is the same with eatting... I NEVER want to quit or give up again.. so i am going to stay the course. eat good and exercise.. I LOVE the new me and I want her to stay around. Linda

Laura- I had the same question as you. How come one time I could barely eat 3 ounces and the next I could eat about 6 ounces. I noticed if the meat is "wet" I can eat more. Also, salad/vegies are bigger when you measure them and they chew down to very little, they are also wet. I love this message board - sometimes I feel alone in my struggle, but I just log on and usually someone has already posted my question. Heather 4-11-05 291-196-?
