Hi Everyone, I know I have been slacking on my little WOW moment post but, I am sure you can all forgive me. As most of you know, I have become a Rita victim. Our house is in tact just some damage to it. However, my job is gone. I finally made it to Houston and have family here so, it's nice to be able to see them even though I'm in a hotel. I hope everyone is safe and doing well. I will more then likely re-locate to Houston. My WOW moment happened yesterday. We were at my sister's and I always said I wanted to run and play with my nieces. Well, it finally happened and I could run!!!! Hearing my brother in law and sister say how proud they were of me made my day. My brother in law said I was about to kick my sister's butt in weight. I can not give an update on how much I have lost as I do not have a scale with me but, I will be going by my surgeon's office this week and weighing in. I spoke to them and they told me to come by and weigh anytime. Sooooooooooooooo, what were your WOW moments this week? Gina

Im happy to hear you made it through Rita alive. I have wondered what people have done since Katrina about their jobs, and their livlihood that have been taken from them. My niece lives in Kenner, her home was flooded and her job is gone but she is back here in Bamaland, and has her boys in school here. I guess it will just take time before she can even think about returning. I put on my jeans to go shopping with my daughter. They felt loose, but she came in and said she wasn't going anywhere with me wearing those jeans "Mom, they are hanging off you, trash em and go change" Pre op I had to lay down to zip those jeans, this week I needed a rope to keep em from falling down. Ive put off buying any clothes until the after Thanksgiving sales, so Im nekkid, all except my nursing uniforms/scrubs that people have given me. I seem to be shrinking fast, even if the scales say no loss, I am looseing inches. Sandy 302/240/151

Hey, girl, I am glad you are doing so well. I am still here in Meridian. I am going home Monday, power or no power. Gasoline or no gasoline there. Food or no food there. (hee hee, I am gonna take some protein shakes and I have yucky powder at home........ my kids can share the powder with me when they run out of canned everything in the cabinets!) They could both use a little........... drop a couple pounds days! Mean mom. Hee hee........... that's what they get for keeping me up at night every night and then sleeping all day........... making momma miss her own bed in her own room........... and willing to trade their food for it......... LOL. Gonna take lots of cat food with me though.... cats aren't keeping me up!!!!

Hello Gina, Well my WOW moment happen this morning ! I got up this morning and did my weekly weigh in and I am in the 300's now I am at 398 pounds stark naked....LoL! I could not believe the scales I had to get back on it twice to believe my eyes.... Oh I feel so good.. Thats 138 lbs. in 5 and half months! I have to add that I can walk a mile now with out getting winded. I try to get out and walk at least a mile a day now. Specialy now as its getting cooler now here in Alaska. I could smell snow in the air today, its that time of the year... Yikes I am not ready for it.... But lets get it over with and get summer going again. At least it sounds like you are head strong and aren't keeping Katrina and Rita from moving ahead in your life. I have a cousin that evacuated his house a couple weeks ago when Rita hit Houston, He leaves in Sugar Land. I guess I should say he tried to leave, he got caught up in a traffic jam and said the heck with it and turned back and went home. and spent 2 days in the bathroom of his house as it was the only room with out windows so him and his wife and girl waited it out and is fine now... Take care. Tom 536/398/200 -138 lbs.

Hi Gina, I am so glad to hear you are near family and everyone is safe. I hope you are able to find work and everything works out for you!! I went shopping this past weekend, my size 12 jeans are getting baggy so i picked up size 10's and low and behold I could use a size 8!!! I also went to Victoria's Secret and bought size small underwear!! I never would have thought I would be buying a size small anything!!! My butt and boobs were the first to go!!! I am almost 6 months post op and reaching my goal is finally in sight but this last 30 pounds will be my toughest challenge!! I wish you the best!! Jennifer 252/169/140ish?? -83

Jennifer - your WOW moment is the same as mine this week. I have found that the size 10's are getting loose and I ended up buying two pairs of size 8 jeans at New York & Co. Gotta love that store! I have become a total clothes-a-holic. I am trying to see how many days I can go to work (I teach junior high) without wearing anything that I have already worn. (cept underwear, bras and shoes) I have now made it 25 days without a repeat. Ooooh hoooo! I teach junior high and am even wearing heels most days. Sure love this weightloss. Hope everyone is doing well and that all of you are healthy and happy. Judy (whohaslessthanfivepoundstoloseuntilshesinthecenturyclub)

Hi all, Congradulations on all your Wow Moments. Mine came yesterday. I had to fly on 4 planes yesterday and didn't need a seatbelt extention on any of them. I just loved it. I was so happy. It was my first time flying by myself but I really did great. This is something I would not of done 6 months ago. I am so glad I took this journey. I can hold my head up high and even look in the mirror and be proud. See all lighter. Joanne
