Hair Loss
I had some severe hair loss too even though I am getting the recommended amount of protein. When I had my last blood work I was diffecient in several vitamins one of them being Zinc that is also a cause of hair loss. I got a good hair cut and started taking zinc vitamin c Iron and calcium as directed by my doctor and I have had much less hair loss recently.
Best of Luck to you I hope this helps!!

There is no product, protein or supplement you can take that will stop the loss and no shortage of companies willing to sell you products and promises. What is happening is called telogen effuvium. Causes of telogen effuvium include extreme rapid weight loss and surgery among others. This usually resolves in several months. My dermatologist assures me that women don't go bald and it won't all fall out. I have purchased a wig.
I took more of my Biotin pills and my hair loss has slowed down drastically. I can't really tell I am losing anymore until I brush my hair and l lose a little bit more but not near what I was losing.
A few weeks ago I would have to empty the brush about five times before I got my hair fixed. Now I don't have to clean the brush but when I am done and I don't get many hairs at all.
I took 3 biotin pills some days. Made me feel like I was helping anyhow. I was terrified because you could see my scalp and I had the thickest longest hair.
Good luck,
Christy
I also am having some hair loss. I'm not sure I'd classify mine as severe though.
I will say that I AM getting in my protein, taking all the vitamens and such.
I think this hair loss isn't just what you AREN'T doing, but the major change we've all had. Surgery. Basically our bodies are recovering from and adapting to maluntrition.
Anyway, I'm told the hair grows back so I'm thinking positive. If anyone has a magic cure for the hair loss blues, please share!
