A happy hello to all the people 5 months out. Is anyone having any problems now? I can eat anything , just small amounts of it. I'm careful to pick foods with 12 g. of fat or less and 3 g. of sugar or less. My only problem is hair loss but with 97 lbs gone I'll deal with it. Can't wait to make the century club? See all lighter. Joanne

Linda, I know what you are talking about with wet food. I have the same problem but I learned that early on so I don't eat dry food. I couldn't eat pasta but someone told me to try angel hair pasta. I had it for dinner tonight . I ate about a cup and had no problem. Boy was it good !!!! You are so lucky with your hair but I am happy for you. I hope mine comes back thick and beautiful. See you lighter. Joanne

I can eat anything but sugar and I always eat 4 oz., 3 meals per day. I mostly eat meat and vegetables but I've had bites of carbs here and there. Congrats on almost-century club!

Deanna, I mostly eat protein and vegetables too. I did try angel hair pasta tonight and had no problems. It was really good but only ate a small amount. See you lighter. Joanne

My surgery date was 4/11/05, so I am just now hitting the 5 month out mark. My hair is growing faster and healthier than ever before. Even people around me are commenting on it and have even said, I thought you were supposed to loose your hair with the weight. I don't know why I haven't. I eat tuna almost every day because of its high protein content, I don't know if that is what is making it do that. I was glad to see the comment about "wet" foods. I have noticed the same problem, but never said anything out loud, because I thought that it sounded odd. Glad to know that I am not alone. Heather

Heather, You are never alone. We are in this journey together. Feel free to ask or say anything. That is what we are here for. I better start eating more tuna. I'm so glad to hear of your hair. I am hoping mine comes back in full but just not gray. LOL !!! See you lighter. Joanne

My problem is the opposite of anything I've ever experienced before: I need to make myself eat! I get hungry, and I think something would be good, but I just don't have much interest in actually eating. I'm making myself now, because I hit a plateau because I was only getting about 250 calories a day. So now I'm journaling everything to make sure I get 900. I've religiously been getting my protein through drinks, so that's not a problem. I've found that I can eat just about anything without problems (unless I eat too fast), and sometimes I can eat more than I think I should be able to! Not often, though. I'm such a cheap date - we went out for brunch and I ordered an english muffin and a breakfast side of ham, and ate one bite of the muffin and half of the small slice of ham. Ruth 435/334/healthy

Ruth, I know what you mean about a cheap date. I am to the point now that I just order a side and have a couple bites of what my husband orders or just get an extra plate. I also have a problem if I eat to fast. WE are learning everyday. Try varity in your diet. It might help you to eat more. I know I'm sick of chicken. See you lighter. Joanne

Jackie, If my calculations are right you have lost 87lbs. yourself. Congradulations!!! About the pasta try angel hair. I tried it last night and had no problem. Also I was told to over cook macarooni. It will be swelled to it's max and will not swell in the stomach. I can do potatoes anyway. I think the key is not to eat anything dry. See you lighter. Joanne
