Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a great week. Before you start your week, share your WOW moment(s) with us. We love to hear from you and share your joy with you. My WOW moment was with my Grandfather. As most of you know he is in the hospital. He is now out of ICU and the other day he just kept looking at me and my Mother asked him why he was looking at me. He busted out crying and told me I was so pretty and he was so proud of me. I went over and hugged him and he told me not ever let anyone play me for a fool! Smart man!!! So, what was your WOW moment(s) this week? Gina

Hey Gina - That is a great WOW moment!!! How awesome that he shared those feelings with you. I think I would have started to cry! Mine was more like an OW moment this morning. I smashed my middle finger between the bar and weight rack when I was putting it back after my set. Somehow I tripped on the mat in front of the rack. What a klutz!! Lol Ok .. a WOW moment: Last night my friend Lynne (also had WLS) came over and I gave her most of my clothes because they no longer fit!!! It felt so wonderful. I also treated myself to some new clothes and went shoe crazy - bought 2 pairs of boots and a pair of some nice mules. I went from size 22-24 and can now wear size 14-16's. Starting Weight was 281 and weight today is 225. Had a big drop after being stuck for three weeks. Also doing awesome in the gym and gaining lots of good muscle.. I see strength gains every time I lift. My endurance, balance, and flexibility is improved drastically (well as long as I am not dropping weights on myself ;)

Hi Gina! I am glad to hear your Grandfather is doing better. And what a compliment!!! He is definately a smart man! My WoW this past week is I ran into 3 different people at different times and they said they didn't recognize me and had to take double and triple takes!! I havn'nt seen any of them since about a month out of surgery. True I have changed my hair quit a bit....(its shorter and darker) but they all 3 went on and on about how good I look. It really made me feel good. Huggggz~ Christy

I weigh myself every tues morning and was dreading it yesterday. I have been in a stall for a while and I didnt see any light at the end of the tunnel. Well...I got on the scale and had dropped over 10lbs. That puts me at 18lbs from the century mark. YIPPEE! I started at 345 size 32, now Im at 263 and size 22.

The century mark do you count the little amount of weight you lost a week before surgery or do you just count the weight post-op. I am close but wondering which one you count? Thanks, Christy

Christy, I count my pre-op weight. Some do it differently though. I didn't have to lose weight prior to surgery. Gina

Gina, I didn't have to lose weight pre-op but I started all my vitamins and during the liquid diet I lost some weight (I NEVER lost weight before like that. It really surprised me) Thanks, Christy

I count it all....It all had to come off and it didnt start til decided on the surgery. I only lost 15 prior to surgery, and that was in the week prior because I was so anxious.
