Clothing question Pants not going down

Hello all, I see here most of you are already losing so much in your clothes. I have in my shirts but I haven't really lost so much in my pants. Is anyone else here seeing this or am I doing something wrong. I have lost in my shirts a whole lot but I wear stretchy pants and I haven't went down in a smaller size yet??? HELP please Any Thanks Christy

Could it be that your stretchy pants were just stretched? Did you measure yourself pre-op, have you lost inches? What are you doing for exercise? Walking has helped my behind to shrink lots! Don't give up, eventually you'll see some changes. Pam

I was like that for a while. It took 3 months before I changed sizes, but now I have lost from a tight 28 to a size 18. I had surgery on April 15, and have now lost 104 pounds. Good luck Kelly

I have gone from 3-2X pants to 14 and the problem that I have is that the legs get baggy but the stomach & waist are snug. My shirt size has gone from 2X to Large in Ladies NOT Womens!!!! Love passing that department. Maybe your stretchy pants are stretched to their limit! Go try on some different pants/style/size and see what happens. Susan Lap/RNY 4/28/05 234/189 goal: 125-139 5'2"

Hi Christy, Thank you for posting! I have gone down 2 shirt sizes but I can still wear the same pants. If I wear a tight girdle, I can get in a pair of pants a size smaller than before surgery. GRRRR!! I sit here and read about others wearing pants way smaller than they used to and wonder what the heck I'm doing wrong. Brenda

Hi Christy, I had my surgery 4/25/05 and was wearing size 28 pants and 28 to 30 shirts depending on make. Now my size runs from a size 20 to 24 just depending on the style and brand. Treat yourself and go shopping even if its just for sizing purposes, you will be amazed. Good Luck. Kimberly
