Hair Loss
Julia,
I too have just started losing lots of hair. A prior post mentioned B1 vitamin which I have been told recently by our doctors is something we have to take now whether we are losing hair or not and actually they turned around and said that not only B1 but we need to take the B-complex vitamin instead because if we only take B1 then it throws all our other B's off track. This is new info that has just been recently discovered by my docs (maybe others already knew).
Anyway, I just wanted to update you on that and let you know you are not alone - it appears this inflicts just about everyone - but I have noticed that they all eventually get it back. One person lost so much hair she made a wig and about 8 months later her hair grew back thick and curly when before it was thin and straight. Hmmm, something to think about I guess. I too take Biotin once a day and now, because of the prior posts, I think I will try the shampoos too, at least they can't hurt.
Good Luck,
Kelly
Hello all
I had surgery the month of april as well and just started to lose my hair. I thought I was the only one. I do not feel so bad now. We can all be bald and thin together. Hey at least they have some cool looking wigs now.. not like the 60's. If it ever came down to that. Good luck every one.

Hello,
I too am experiencing severe hair loss. My surgeon also mentioned that I am not taking in enough protein. I found a protein powder that I mix w/soy milk that is absolutely delicious. It is called Isopure and can be found at Vitamin Shoppe. I am taking (2) scoops which has 50 grams of protein for breakfast and then I try to eat the remaining 25 in food, tunam chicken. Not sure if I am gettting the remaiing 25 but I hooe to see my hair loss decrease.
To date I have lost 65 lbs and feeling really good.
