Hey everyone, I wonder if I am doing right. I am losing a lot of hair and have been taking my vitamins and biotin. I have lost a total of 89 pounds. Am I doing this correctly or should I have already lost over the 100 pound mark. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks Christy

I think you are doing wonderful!! My date is week BEFORE yours and I have lost 81 pounds. So, you're allright. From wht I uderstand biotin is to help hair grow rapidly not to keep it from falling out. I don't thinkit has been clinically tested to see if even that is true. BUT... I still take mne, just in case!! LOL Yes, my hair is falling out very very fast. And no I didn't have any to spare. They tell me it will stop, I sure hope it will soon and leave me with some. I have seen a few peeps on here that have lost 100+ pounds in the our time frame, but not as many as I see around our weight loss range. Keep up the good work!! Toodles, Reneé 418/337/125 -81 pounds!!

Christy, You're doing GREAT!!!! I had surgery on 4/4/05 and I've lost 82. I'm also taking the vitamins and eating protein but my hair seems to be coming out by handfuls. My hair dresser says it's also caused by the anesthesia they used to put us to sleep. I hope he's right otherwise I'm going to need a wig by Christmas!!! Keep up the good work! Teresa

hello, i have only lost 74 in 4 months so you are doing great. i recently asked my doctor if i am where i should be and he told me that every person is different. You should not compare yourself to anyone. I am losing my hair too. I actually just put a post up about that. I think you should keep doing what you are doing!!

Christy you are doing great on weight loss. My doctor put me on B-1 (thiamin) vitamins with my others and i have not had any problems with hair loss. Try taking 1 tablet 100mg. twice a day. Thiamin (B1) reduces inflammation, reduces fluid retention, assist in carbohydrates metabolism, and allows blood circulation for hair follicles to grow.
