Sugar-Free Desserts?

Has anyone made any sugar-free desserts yet? Do you have a recipe you're willing to share? I'm having a BBQ and want to make something yummy for my guests that I can eat, too. I thought about making that layered dessert that uses crushed pretzels as the crust, cream cheese filling and strawberries in strawberry jello on top. I have splenda and sugar free jello, but I'm still not sure. I don't know whether I should indulge in dessert. I want to, but I want to feel like I'm in control (not the food). I think the recipe would modify all right using the healthier ingredients, but I'm still apprehensive about trying it. Help!

Jello makes a sugar free cheesecake pudding, and you can put it into a graham cracker crust. just use skim milk, and only use the milk for the pie recipe on the box....yummy. good luck.

You made a really good point Cynthia. I haven't allowed myself to indulge in desserts because of how bad I want them. That behavior got me in this mess in the first place. I know I *could* have them, but it's not something I'm ready to do yet. I'm picking my battles and dessert has lost

Good for yall! Can you tell I am from Texas? I have tried a whole wheat waffle with cut up strawberries sprinkled with splenda and with a dollop of cool whip...yummy! I have done the sugar free popsicles by Welchs, and blue bunny sugar free dreamsicles. As for good dessert recipes go to tooters site...she has some amazing ones... http://www.freepgs.com/bariatricbytes/Desserts.html
