Confused????

I'm confused about the amount of carbs I should be eating every day. I followed my diet plan to the letter and it allowed for protein, veggies and carbs last. But now the more I read I think I may be eating too many carbs. Any advice???? Also, is anyone eating salads yet??? Teresa

I'm not sure on the carbs, but have been keeping track of my foods. I'm getting between 50 -80 carbs a day and seem to be doing alright. All of those carbs come from dairy, veggies and fruit. I don't eat bread, crackers and very seldom potatoes. I have eaten salad. Lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, celery, carrots. Just remember to chew, chew, chew and be careful of the dressings you use. If you are glucose or fat sensitive, some have lots of sugar and fat.

I TRY TO STAY AROUND 100 CARBS. THE AVERAGE 2000 CAL DIET IS 300 CARBS SO 100 IS A GOOD NUMBER FOR 1000-1200 CALORIES

I eat salads. I have two slices of sugar free wheat bread, turkey, mustard, onions, avocado, etc. I don't think about carbs because I don't eat fast food, cookies, etc. Mostly I eat salads with honey mustard instead of dressing.

I tryy to stay at a 70/30 split. 70% of what I eat is protien. the other 30% is everything else Julian
