Thanks everyone! Last night I made my first salad. I bought the baby spring mix. NO iceberg in it. (doc says no iceberg yet) I had some tuna, salsa, Bernstein's LIte cheese fantastico dressing (0 fat and only 25 cal), and 4 grapes in with about a handful of the spring mix. Also some chopped red onion. I was in HEAVEN!!!! Oh, yeah, I topped it with Mrs Dash lemon pepper. I figured I had about 15 g of protein and less than 110 calories. SOOOOOOO good. Can't wait 'til dinner tonight so I can have another. Judy PS Trader Joe's also has good no fat dressings.

I've ate tuna salad and chicken salad, but on saltine or ritz crackers, not bread. I'm dying for bread. I'm also dying for a salad with lettuce. I've been told to stay away from lettuce for another month.

I had my surgery on April 5th and was absolutely craving salad a couple of weeks ago. I e-mailed my nutritionist, just to double check, and I was able to have them. Any type of raw veggies, etc. I was sooo happy and I've been eating them since. YUMMY!!

I had salad just last week for the very first time since surgery and everything went well, thankfully! I have been craving salad for weeks and I just figured I'd try some...it went down well, no iceburg for me though...I never liked it anyway. I had a teaspoon of FF thousand island dressing on it and I was LOVING it!!! I've also had crabmeat salad and tuna salad...YUMMY! Purrs, Dee~

My Doctor says no raw veggies or fruits for 6 months.. Am starving for lettuce salad. Why can't salads be eaten ??? Haven't ever been told why not to eat, just don't eat any of it.
