whatcha eating?
Two months out on Sunday and I'm down 60 pounds... But Food Intolerance is VERY high for me. I can only eat a small amount of beef and it needs to be processed well (such as a Taco Bell crunchy Taco or Wendy's Chili). Every other meat is causing incredible pain and puking - so thus, I'm holding off for a few weeks before I try again. In the morning I have two Protein Juices from SmartForme. Which will give me 30 grams for breakfast. Lunch is almost ALWAYS soup (about 1/2 to 1 cup - depending on kind). I usually have a "Crackery" kind of snack - yesterday was a little Chex Mix - at about 3 PM. I have some cheese when I get home from work and either more SmartForme Protein Juices - or a small meal.
I have very bizare cravings that are very temporary. For example, I'll suddently get a craving for Lemonade (I hated lemonade pror to surgery) and I'll get CarbOptions SF Lemonade (much better then ICKY Crystal Light) and I'll drink a ton of it. And then I won't want to touch it again. I had a huge craving for Taco Bell (again, prior to surgery, errr, I didn't really like Taco Bell)... Had one crunchy taco - and then the thought of Taco Bell made me sick.
The last two days I've had incredible cravings for anything orange. Like Tropicana Sugar Free Orangeade... I'm having like 2-4 bottles a day in addition to everything else.
The cravings are really really weird.

Apparently, I am the slowest loser in the group but I've lost 5# since Sunday. I had surgery 4/4/05 and have lost 23#. I am doing everything the surgeon told me to do. No sugar, alcohol, red meat, or carbonation. I mostly eat or drink protein shakes, seafood, cheese, vegetables and fruit. I seem to be addicted to bananas now. I don't even do potatoes because the carbs make me dump. I hesitate to come here now because I'm so jealous of everyone else losing quicker than me.
I had a stricture and wasnt eating much at all..only drinking. But for the last 4 days I can eat 1 chicken thigh (or almost one). So I usually have a protein shake for bkfst (20 gr), mid morn 1/2 c of 14 gr fiber cereal (for regularity and it works..plus senna tea at night Smooth Move), lunch 1 chx thigh, mid aftn some fruit, dinner chx thigh, later another protein drink. Pretty boring but it works for me so far..

I eat all meats: steak, roast, chicken, fish, turkey, lobster...
Usually a meal will be 3 oz. meat and 1 oz. vegetables. For lunches, I get a lot of chicken salads and eat 3 oz. chicken and 1 oz. salad.
For breakfast I like yogurt and a banana, oatmeal, or South Beach Cereal.
I ate 2 bites of my husbands cheesecake at dinner the other night and was so ill I though my abdomen was going to explode.
I've been sticking to good food choices and haven't really had any cravings for anything bad. When I'm hungry at night I'll have a protein shake.
I eat chicken mostly, severly allergic to fish so have to stay miles away from that, At first I could not handle chicken at all, it always caused me pain. Now I can as long as its tender, I tend to stick to dark meat or marinated chicken. I can do beef if its very tender or if I eat lean ground beef. I can eat pork chops if they are tender, I cook them in the oven covered in water and pineapple juice..mm mmm mm. I also drink a Procomplex shake every day because I just cant seem to get in enough protein otherwise. I dont think I am getting enough veggies, I usually have a salad with boiled egg and chicken and cheese on it...about three times a week. I also eat omelets and boiled eggs. Sometimes I do spaghetti, and the veggie meats were a life saver because up until about two weeks ago I just couldnt tolerate much meat. But I loved the Morningstar Farms Chic patties. I also eat a Welchs sugar free popsicle almost everyday, and drink lots of water...and an occasional sf fruit punch by Wal Mart. It doesnt have the saccharin aftertaste I cant stand.
Well thats about it.
