Anybody else now hate food !
I am right there with you..... right now it takes everything I have just to force myself to eat something 3-4 times a day and to drink water!!! like you, I still love to cook for my family, but nothing is appealing to me!! I am chalking it up to my tastebuds changing again!!! I hope it changes eventually!
Take care,
Nikki
I had my surgery April 7th and for a long time food just didnt taste like it should...I would say that last week wa the first week I really felt like stuff started tasting right. Now I can eat almost anything I try as long as I go really slow. Believe me every day is an improvement. Just take it really slow!
I am with you too!!
I am almost 2 months out and eating is the last thing on my mind. I find myself short lately on protein because I have missed a meal and when I am eating a measured portion (usually I try to get in 4 oz. at lunch so dinner is lighter) but then I give an ounce back because I am tired of eating and can't stand the sight of my food. I have found a yougrt (9 grams of protein) that I like and a light string cheese (6 grams) that I love so that really helps. I wish you the best.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Some of the foods I used to love, I now loathe. I had cottage cheese at 2 weeks out, and I still have a grudge against it. The thought of cottege cheese now makes me want to gag... and I only had it once. I had a chicken tender a couple of weeks ago that was delicious while I was eating it, and now anything that even resembles a chicken tender makes me want to gag (I just literally gagged, thinking about it... pathetic, I know). I have no real desire to eat anything, and the only things that I really enjoy eating now are soups and soft things that I don't have to chew. I don't know if it's that I chew my foods so well now that the foods I used to love, I now hate because I don't like the way they taste chewed up a million times.. but for some reason I am REALLY turned off on foods. Ugh... oh well, at least I'm losing weight! lol.
Amen to that I feel the same way about food now and it is funny you mentioned it because I was just saying that to my husband today. Anyway it is not that I dont be hungry but I just hate the whole hassle of eating. I wish there was some other way to servive now, and before I felt like I couldnt even think without it. Well I guess this is just a phase that we need to experience so that we can look at food differently. Good Luck to everybody on there wieght loss.
I find eating a chore as well (most days). Sometimes I'm actually hungry but those days are few & far between. I just keep forcing myself to eat & drink.
Best of luck,
A
