hey everybody, lastnight my hubby was gonna make some BAKED tater tots i've been craving them for a week. It just happened my baby FORGOT to bake them he FRIED them!!!! I was eating them and made the comment "these don't taste baked" he freaked and appologized and I ate a 2 more a total of 4 tater tots. Well let me tell you I felt like I was gonna die for about 20 minutes!!! I've been lucky and can handle everything i've tried so far, and I handled the greasy tater tots, but thats definately an experience I hope to never repeat!!! NO FRIED FOODS FOR KRISS!!!!!lol Just thought I would warn the new post-ops don't get too curious it's not a good thing. Kriss 353/297/200

Kriss, Oily foods of ANY kind will make you feel like you are dying. I had tried canned fish in fish oil...only to have it come out of both ends a few minutes later I wasn't sure if I'd get to the restroom fast enough! Not a fun experience, but a definate learning one! D D

I haven't tried fried foods but I am relieved and grateful to report I can eat Chinese food if I cut it up small and chew. I love general tso's chicken! Lo Mein and all that sloppy stuff. I've only dumped a couple times trying new foods (pasta, beef) but when I tried again after a week or so, the problem was gone. Maybe you'll be able to eat your chicken next month. Good luck! Lynda

Hmm, I don't know. I have had a much different experience. I've been eating fried things like french fries and other oily/fried things since 3 or 4 weeks out. I haven't had any problems. I can also tolerate a fair amount of sugar, so I don't know. I guess it's different for everyone.
