How much and how long???
Hi Marcia,
Did you measure yourself before surgery? If you did, remeasure. The weight may be slow but I bet you have inches gone. Make sure your fluid intake is not loaded with calories, example fruit juice. You also have to take into consideration, the larger the person usually the more weight loss due to fluid. Someone 400+ will lose more in a month than someone 200+,on the average. Hang in there. I am 6 1/2 weeks post op and have lost 40 lbs(not as much as some) but I have lost over 18 inches. Take every chance to be positive because there is ALWAYS tons of negative waiting to sabotage you.
Good Luck---Carolyn
Carolyn,
Thanks so much for the encouragement. My fluid are water or crystal lite. I dont drink anything else, not even fruit juice. I have measured myself since day one. I am losing in my arms, legs, hips and breast but my waist has not changed in the last 4 weeks
I have always been a slow loser. Now that I am older and post menopausal its even worse. I didn't expect the weight to just fall off of me but I was hoping for better than this. I just hope I can lose the wieight before the wls honeymoon period is over. I am trying to think long term but when I read about the success of others I do get down.
I will hang in there. I didn't go through all this to mess up now.
Marcia
