DOWN 50+ LBS. AND COUNTING............
Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to share my first major weight loss victory with everyone! I'm almost 6 weeks out and I've lost 50 lbs! YAHOOOOOOO!!!! That's a total of 74 lbs. lost from my highest weight of 384 lbs. Can I get a WOOOOHOOOO!!! from somebody?
I'd like to say that everything has been smooth sailing but it hasn't! I've been sick with the "foamies" on and off for about 3 weeks now. It's something that I'd heard mentioned in passing on the boards here at OH but I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Now that it's been happening to me I'm trying to find out as much about it as I can. If anyone has any ideas as to what causes it and how it can be stopped, I'm all ears!
Be well,
Cheryl G.

Congrats on your loss. The "foamies", I assume you are talking about after eating you are experiencing abnormal amounts of saliva? If so, from what I understand it is caused by your pouch being so full that there is no room for any saliva to be swallowed. We all swallow saliva all the time, but when there is no room it has no choice but to back up the esophogas and into the mouth. Basically this situation is the fine line between full and vomiting.
Hope that helps.

Congratulations!! Wooooohooooo!! I am 8 weeks out and lost 46..you go girl. I too have the foamys..glad to hear what it is. After lunch friday, I was walking back with 2 co-workers and spitting on the ground!! I couldnt swallow it! They started to call me names like "spitty" and I said no, call me "upchuck" or "chucky" for short. LOL. Now I know why I could not swallow..it makes sense!!

That is awesome Cheryl!! Ours stats are pretty close to eachother. I have the foamies too! I just didn't have a name to put with them! Thank you, now I know what to call them. LOL I have often wondered when I get sick why all this clear foamy liquid comes up before the food. Now I know! Keep up the great work!
