Success!

I had my surgery 5 weeks ago and am doing great. I've lost 25 lbs and my blood pressure is back to normal. My blood pressure hasn't been this low in 11 years, and the last time I weighed 184 lbs was 2 1/2 years ago! Yesterday, I walked the full 9 miles in a Genesis Walk-a-thon! My body is extremely sore, but what's amazing is that I would have never been able to make it the full 9 miles pre-op, and I didn't even get out of breath once! Just wanted to share my little success story. This surgery is such an awesome tool! Nancy

That is so wonderful. 184 pounds has to feel great. Your successful walk has inspired me to get out today and get some exercise. I've been using that recovery excuse, but obviously you've beat that. Best wishes for continued success.

WAY TO GO NANCY! What an inspiration you are. So glad you completed the walk and did it without huffing and puffing! I'm waiting for my blood pressure to get to normal. I'm on 1/2 a pill out of three right now. My blood sugars are normal and I am off all diabetes medicines. I feel like I could walk forever. Gotta love what this surgery does, huh?? Judy I have lost about 26 pounds and have gone from a size 20 pant to a 14/16!!
