feeling kinda yucky:(
Hi all,
Well I didn't know if I would get through this whole process unscathed and maybe I haven't because the past two days i've felt like crappola!! I'll be 3 weeks post-op this Friday and my dr told me that I could eat pretty much what I wanted if I felt like I could handle it. So this week i've been eating peanut butter, yogart, chicken chili, fudge pops, vienna sauage-chicken, and not drinking as much as I should be. The past two days i've been constipated and have felt like a rock was sitiing in my belly, and sooooooooo bloated!!! I've taken MoM last night and tonight and i'm starting to go but i'm also starting my monthly. I was wondering if any of you have felt like this. I'm not sure if i'm eating a little too solid of a food too soon, too much too soon, or what. I have always been pretty regular with my bms usually daily so if I don't go in at least 2 days i'm very uncomfortable. I know these aren't the most pleasant topics of convo but sometimes it's just gotta be asked ya know. Any help in this will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Sounds like you had a party with all the things you have been missing. I have not yet gotten the go to eat anything I want yet. I am also 3 weeks out. But I have been craving peanut butter like Mad ! I wish that I had some advice for you, but I will try to at leaset learn from what you did and try not to go nuts. Good luck hope everything comes out alright (no pun intended) Hope you feel better !!

I am 3 weeks post op today and I have had that feeling before but mine was a week after surgery and my advice is ( this is what I did ) I took MoM untill I went and when I did I felt much better. I am at the stage that my doc said I can experiment with foods. But I have noticed that when I eat something that maybe I should not have I get that yucky feel also but it will go away after about 2 hours. I tend to eat things like lean cusine, apple sauce, salad, chicken breast, and lipton rice. ( the flavored ones). If you wanna talk about anything I am just an email away lol. how are you doing with loosing? If you dont mind me asking.

I am constipated too. And I know it is because I cant get enough water!
I wait 2 days and then take MoM and that helps. I was told to try prunes..5 a day...not all at once! OR prune juice. I have been trying to find some SF Citrucel but havent yet found it. I was told to try 1/2 dose daily..too much fiber otherwise. We are still too new for fiber.
thanks everybody for your responses Actually the MOM has worked and i'm not feeling nearly as bloated thank god!!! I think my constipation is due to the lack of fluids i'm getting in its so hard to though just sipping through the day. I haven't eaten much the past two days because I don't want to end up feeling like I did before. As far as my weight loss since surgery I have absolutely no idea!!!! I had to reschedule my first post-op appt last week and I go tommorow and i'll find out how much i've lost i'm very excited about that!!!! If yall have any suggestions for eating i'm all ears
I'm on my fourth week but can't start reg. foods until next week. . It may be that you just tried too many new foods at once. There are some things that you may not tolerate well yet or even ever. My surgeon suggests (and I know each one has their own idea of a post op diet and it can be so different from one to another!) trying only one new food a day so you know if you can tolerate it or not. I don't always follow that advice myself, but it does sound logical! Also, when I feel yucky, I don't always feel like having any liquids because it makes the feeling worse, but a few sugar free popcicles help get in more liquids without "filling" my pouch more.
