Hi.......All, My surgery was 4/28/05, I did pretty good as far as the surgery. I did develop cellulites on the inside of my right leg, Doc said hot wet compresse would allivate the propbelm so far its working. Now that I am almost 3 weeks out, I am having such a hard time getting in my protein, I 've gotten to the point that is stinks so bad to me that it makes me nasauted. All I want is ice cold liquids( water, Juice) I have managed to get some cottage cheese and yougurt down. I take my vitamins along with a B12 and Biotin no problem. But I feel so tired and achey. I know that I have just had major surgery , but I can't stand the way I'm feeling! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Hang in there, I know how you feel! I had my surgery on 4/19. I felt the same ailments, feeling tired (protein and a b complex should help) and nauseous. I still feel nauseous. Different types of smells affect me differently than before. I hope you feel better. Don't be hard on yourself!

I know how you feel. I had surgery 4/15/05 and after the 2nd week of using protein in my drinks, just the thought of having to do it again made me feel sick. Yes, the protein smell made me nasauted. I just kept thinking that it was only 1 more week and then I was on pureed foods. I made it through, but it was harder than I ever dreamed it would be. I thought drinking the protein would be a snap, but it was far from it. I was tired and still am to a point. I am 4 1/2 weeks out and I am now really starting to make sure I walk everyday and I am starting to feel better. On a scale of 1-10 though for tiredness, I still give myself about a 4. I also have my days and nights mixed up I think, that doesn't help. I don't get up in the morning until 10:30 and don't go to sleep until 1:00 or 2:00. I have to get out of this routine as I do have to go back to work in less than 4 weeks now and I have to be up at 5:30 a.m. in order to get to work on time. I think what is going on must be pretty normal. I thought it was just me and I still can't understand how people go back to work after 4 weeks. I just could not have done it. Hang in there, it does get better. Cindy

This is the hardest time! I did not start feeling better until about 5 weeks out. I still feel tired but walking helps. I am now 6 weeks out. Try protein drinks in a blender w/ ice --like a milkshake..they are much more tolerable. Go easy on yourself. Take the protein drink in stages during the day or take awhile to drink one. Remember you do the best you can each day...but I still cant get in all the water! Or the vitamins! Julia
