I had my surgery 2 and a half weeks ago and haven't yet had my period. I was wondering if any of you have been late or just not menestrated at all? I know that sometimes after you've had a major surgery it can reek havot on your bodily functions. Don't mean to be too graphic just wondering how we're holding up. Kriss

Hi Kriss, I had surgery almost 5 wks ago and am dealing with non-stop PMS the last 10 days. I had a brief period right after surgery, but the next one has yet to show up. Unfortunately I have all of the symptoms, including weight gain and cramps. Doctor says that for the first few months things will be all screwed up. I just wi**** would start so the cramps would go away. Linda B

. Hi Kriss My surgery was 4/6 and mine started on 4/7 and ended around 4/11. It started again 5/9, so I guess I'm "on schedule". Everyone is different though. Dayna 310/272/110

You are in good company. I'm blaming my weight loss "plateau" on being about two weeks late with my period. I haven't felt any of the usual precursors yet so it is a mystery!

I had surgery on April 19th. I was about a week late but it did eventually come! I hope everything is ok, I'm sure it is!

I had surgery on 4/11 and I have not seen my friend since January but I think it has to do with the depo shot that I get!! I am not complaining !!

I actually was scheduled to be on my period while in the hospital and that flow was really light and almost non existent. This months on the other hand has been totally opposite. I am on nuvaring and the day after I took it out lo and behold full force like I havent had in YEARS. I think that the weight loss will affect your period wether it be not there or full force like mine. Id see what happens next month

Hi Kriss , I haven't had mine either. I was wondering the same thing, but I know if I gained weight it messed it up so I guess it does the same when you lose. Stormy 346/305/151

Update on the cycle - it showed up late and WORSE than ever. I am pretty miserable right now. I sure hope this isn't a sign of things to come! The cramps were so bad I actually took my pain meds from surgery. OUCH. Maybe my weight will finally drop after this is all over. Linda B

I wish I knew what was going on too. I had surgery 4/18/05 and had my period the week before and a bit of a "remnant" the first day or so in the hospital. Well, now, I am 4 1/2 weeks postoperative and NOTHING! Well, I shouldn't say nothing - I have every symptom BUT the bleeding. I had some slight "discoloration" on the toilet paper for a few days this past week, but that is the most I have seen. I did *gain* 2 pounds and am feeling bloated and extra tired. I am not sure if it is just going to be late or if that "hint" on the TP was the extent of it. I don't mind missing it, I just hope it doesn't build up for a real BLAST next month!! WAAAA Gina
