Frustrated!
Hang in there Marla,
I am two weeks post op and am feeling frustrated too! I am always hungry...and I wonder how can it be??? When I woke up from surgery I to was hungry....you are not alone. Don't worry about a thing, you are doing great and remember Rome wasn't built in a day. Good luck on the road to a new and lighter you!!

Thanks for all of your replies -- it is nice when people understand. It certainly is a big thing we did, and it seems like we should have an excellent payoff. I was concerned before the surgery that it would end up being like this. I had already lost a significant amount of weight over the last 2 years and worried that my body had made an adjustment for less food already. I probably have to look at it as the typical progress of a diet rather than major surgery to correct the problem.
Things have actually shifted a bit. I am no longer hungry. Rather than the somewhat large capacity for food I had at the beginning, where I even questioned what the heck he did in there, I now can't keep much down. I've dropped a few lbs. and feel a little more positive about it.

I had surgery on 4/4. The first week 8 pounds, second week 7 pounds, third week nothing, 4th week 2 pounds, 5th week nothing. So it is going to vary. Don't worry about it, just do what you are supposed to we all lose differently. Catch this: my daughter eats like a starving soldier, and while I am eating almost nothing, and losing nothing.......... she loses 10 pounds!!
I didn't quite wake up hungry but everything smelt good to me after I got home from the hospital. One of my walking routes takes me past a pizza place and even McDonalds smells good.
I have started to get my protein and water in and I am 5weeks out so don't worry to much. I also found that I could sip more than I did initially. That really helped with the water.
Walking also helped alot. I try to do 2-3 miles each day ankles and knees permitting. I have discovered some parts of my town I didn't know existed.
