Uh huh. I go to the bathroom maybe once every few days now. I've heard some folks recommend stool softeners. I'm thinking maybe some fiber like citrucel or something. It's downright uncomfortable Lisa

I called my doctor for this problem. He said to take a suppository or a stool softener. I took the stool softener, and went so much I ended up with hemorroids! That was last week. Hadn't gone again, so I took another stool softener, and it was much better this time. I have also read in books that Metamucil and Citricel are good, but I am afraid I couldn't drink them. Yuck!! Good luck.

I have used milk of magnesia. The first time I took the 4 tblsp dose..that was a mistake..had diarrhea after. This second time I took 2 tbl spoon dose and it was perfect. Had a movement in 2 hours time!

Jacquis, I was so constipated then I took my collace for a couple days in a row and ended up with diareah on top of hemroids! I am now 5 weeks out, hemroids are gone and if I get plugged up I have learned to only take ONE collace and let nature do the rest. I don't recommend taking more than one collace every other day if its real bad. D D

Me and my girlfriend both take 3 colace a day and still have problems. I wish I was more like you. LOL.. Kelly

Hi Jacquis, I'm 3 weeks post op, open RNY, and have been having diarrhea, come to find out it was the Isapour drink I was drinking to get my protine in. You can get this drink GNC and it comes in different flavors, and tast great. Maybe this will help to keep you regular. Good luck Louise

My surgeon has me taking Collace (stool softner). It works really well and it doesn't cause cramping. Good Luck!
