Leg is numb

Has anyone had a problem with your leg going numb? My right leg, from the knee to the top, has been numb for days. Doc says I may have pinched a nerve. I keep looking for signs of more damage, like swelling, hot spots, but nothing there, thank God. It sure does feel weird though. Linda

Check with your surgeon, numbness and tingling can be indications of clots as well as nerve problems.

I've had problems with numbness and nerve pain in the side of my left leg. I have had this before, associated when I had to be in the hospital before. I think it's from laying more and not being as active in the hospital and I think it will clear up eventually, like it did before.

Hi Linda, I had an MRI done because of this exact problem. The Nero Surgeon told me that it was my femoral nerve causing this. He said it's seen a lot in pregnant woman. I know when it first started happening to me, it woke me from a dead sleep and felt like the top of my leg was on fire. On top of this I also have two herniated disks in my back along with arthritis and bone spurs on my spine. Before the surgery I was on ani-inflamitories that helped both problems. Since the surgery the top of my leg has bothered me more than my back. I am hoping as I loose more the less it will bother me and possibly go away. Just to make sure I would talk to your doctor about this. Lisa
