I'm home all - been home since the 21st, but just been too lazy to get on here to post. Things went very well. Was in hospital 4 days. LOVED my morphine pump, was my best friend - but lost that on morning 3. Now I only take liquid Hydrocodone if needed. Still sleeping in the recliner - may venture to the bedroom by week's end and see how things go. I am able to get in my fluids - started my Carnation Instant breakfast today. Looking forward to the next stage. I was never a "sweets" person to begin with and it seems with the jello, popsicles, instant breakfast, SF tea, etc - everything is sweet. I am enjoying my water, hot tea and coffee the best. The boullion is good too, but gets old. My mom is with me and keeps me company during the day while DH is at work - so, thats nice. Went for a drive today and did some walking - every day is an improvement on pain and tiredness. Getting to feel pretty good now - still sore, but my biggest complaint is really my back - favoring it to walk and sleeping in the hard bed at the hospital and here in the recliner are all factors. Look forward to walking it out! I know I am going to get my scales hidden by either my husband or my mother this week - but, as of this evening, I have taken off 7 pounds already and I'm not quite a week out!! AND.....I didn't gain anything in the hospital! WEEEE!! Well, just wanted to give you a synopsis of the last few days - talk to you all soon! Best wishes on everyone who is about to go in and hope everyone who had surgery with me is home and doing well - and everyone else, I hope things are great for you too! Take good care, Gina

Gina, Glad you are home and doing well! Keep in touch. It's a bit rough for me to sit at this computer for any length of time yet. Take care. Annie

Hi Gina! HAPPY to hear from you! I was starting to get worried bout ya. Everyday it does get better! Walking has helped my back pain, knee pain. Amazing since I havent had any arthritis meds in awhile now. Just listen to your body and rest if it needs it. Let us how you are when you feel up to it! Hugs, Sandy
