April 27th...new to the board

Hi everyone, My name is Shree and my surgery is Wed. I am getting a little emotional and scared but mostly excited!! I was supposed to have had surgery on Jan 10th but 3 days before surgery I was called and told that BCBS would no longer pay for it...it was devastating and I almost gave up. Now I am days away again....cross your fingers that everything goes smooth this time. I have my Pre-Op tomorrow. Can't wait until Wed!!! Shree

Hi Shree, My surgery is Wed, also. I have my pre-ops on Tuesday down in San Diego. I'm nervous, excited and mostly just plain ready to get the show on the road. Best of everything to both of us! Judy

Hi, my name is Dinah my surgery is also on April 27th. For some reason i'm not a bit nervous. I just can't beleive my dream is comming true . I have been big most of my life. My daughter had surgery this past November and she is doing fantastic. She has lost 64 pounds. We will have used the same surgeon Dr. Hugh Houston of Nashville Tn. I've had all my pre-ops just have to wait for Wed to get here. I'm hoping that working to next two days. Iwilll go home on Thursday sometime. Good Luck

Hi Shree My name is Robin Newman and I am so happy for you! I experience the same thing about having to cancel my surgery. i had already been through the pre-op and everything was find and just before I was to get my surgery date I was told I needed three thousand dollars. amd I don't have it. so I guess thats another set back but if you have any information on how I can get some help with the 3000 dollars please let me know. I know your surgery will be a success and from what I have read and studied you will love yourself more and you will have a better life so congratulation and my prayers are with you answer soon

I had some hectic issues (insurance and which doctor) during the last weeks prior to my surgery too. Try & block it all out (take deep breaths) & enter the OR knowing we're all behind you. Hi shree I received your e-mail and I was glad to hear from you I know that your surgery is today and I have sent up a prayer for you so don't worry to much about me because I know that it will work out I want you to get well and enjoy your new life okay by the way my surgeon will be Dr.Wade Naziri of greenville nc and I have medicade and medicare its just a mess whenever you feel up to it send me some infiormation on what to expect by the way I have to lose up to 40% of my body weight before i can have the surgery I weigh in at 404 lbs so please pray for me I will keep on checking on you so get well and keep the faith Robin
