Just thought I'd report that I got home this afternoon. All went very well, thank God -- now all I need to do is figure out what the heck I'm doing re: food. I'm a bit afraid of everything, but calming down slowly. Thank you again all those that sent positive wishes and thoughts. Marla

I felt the same way Marla. I decided to stick to the 3 things I know I can tolerate until I go onto the next stage. Those things are Carnation Instant Breakfast for breakfast (still can't drink the whole thing though, so it lasts for 2 days). LF yogurt for lunch (only 4 ounces) and about 1/3 cup LF cream soup for dinner. Today I added some jello as part of my water, because I think I am only getting in 32 ounces. It's really hard to eat and drink as much as they say we need to. I ate 2 small spoonfuls of jello after I got the full feeling (first full feeling I've had) and boy, I was uncomfortable for a while. I won't do that again! Good luck and I hope it gets easier for both of us. Linda

I'm so glad to see the post op people posting to the web site so quickly. I'm doing surgery Monday and it gives me hope that I'll be feeling more spry than I thought. This is my first full day on clear liquids and thankfully, I've cleaned my refrigerator or I swear I might eat anything in there. Good luck on your recover, I think I'll make some SF jello. Woo-hoo.
