1 Week out
Hi all My name is Ronda Dornemann I am 1 week out and will be going to Dr. Miles tomorrow to have my staples removed. Yeah, because they are about to itch me to death. I started at a weight of 300 and I will keep all informed of my progress as I go along this amazing journey to health I hope!!!!!! Oh By the way the Bariatric GI test to make sure there are no leaks was the worst for me.
Congradulations to you Ronda. I just had my staples out today and what a relief. I also got moved up to pureed foods. I have been on clear liquids since the 8th and my surgery was the 6th. I gained 20 lbs in the hospital and was told it was all the fluids that were going into me by the IV. Well I lost that and 20 more. I notice the inches more. I hope I hear great scores from you also. Ahhh, man I am really jealous I do not get to have pureed foods for another 2 weeks. Man. I got my staples out today no ifections although I did have one cut that did not on the surface close all the way and he put some stitch tape over it and told me to be careful. I am back to work today also. That is wonderful that you have lost 20 pounds. I as of surgery date April 11, 2005 have lost a whopping 12#'s It really is not as much as I would like to loose nut more than I have eer lost in a week anyway. Thanks soooo much for posting to me, I think these support and talks really help get through this whole thing.
