Back to doctor tomorrow for 2 weeks check-up
Had my lap RNY on 4/5 and have been improving every day. Hubby and I went for two 1/2 mile walks yesterday and it felt good. Hard part about the walks though is that we have a fairly steep driveway that I don't feel comfortable about walking down by myself yet and trudging up the hill at the end of a walk is kind of difficult.
I've not taken any pain meds for about a week and seem to be getting all the liquids down. I'll be glad when I can chew on something again - two weeks pre-op on nothing but liquid protein and water and now two weeks of just about the same, only in 2 oz increments.
I'm down 15 lbs from the day of surgery - 30 lbs from the day of my first consultation with the WISH Center. Happy about the results thus far.
I really enjoy reading all the posts on this site and have learned a lot and had quite a few of my questions answered. I don't post myself that much, but do read a lot of what other people are going through or doing.
Keep up the good work everyone.

hi Cele, It's good to hear you are doing so well and doing alot of walking. yahoooo! I have to get going on the moving around. I have NO energy since my surgery that was on the 6th. I can't wait to hear how much more you've lost. You will probably get moved up to pureed foods and it sounds yucky but boy what a great thing. I just got to Pureed yesterday afternoon and I was in heaven. Keep me posted on how you are. God Bless and take care. HUGS to you. Cathy D
Hi Cathy,
Thanks for the good words. The support from everyone on OH is phenomenal, isn't it? Your energy will pick up soon as you recupe and eventually your kids may have a hard time keeping up with you.
I am so looking forward to something of substance to eat, though I'm not in the least bit hungry - just would like to chew on something. Glad that I had recently gotten a new night guard, because I would have found myself grinding my teeth otherwise.
Take care and keep me posted on your progress.
Hugs
