So glad I found this board!

I really love OH and spend a lot of time here every day. However, I have noticed that there are certain cliques of people on one of the message boards I used to frequent. Instead of responding to legitimate WLS questions, they only respond to off topic type of posts. For instance, today someone posted about dying her hair blonde and she has received more than 30 responses so far. And yet there are other posters who are asking questions about WLS and they are only hearing from one or two people if they are lucky. Some receive no responses at all. What gives with this?? Is it just me, or are others frustrated by this, too? I really appreciate that the April 2005 board sticks pretty much to WLS posts. That's why I am frequeting it more often. Thank you. Judy

JUDY I AM THE SAME WAY.. THE MAIN BOARD IS TERRIBLE FOR THIS AND ARE VERY CLICKISH... I HATE TO POST SOMETIMES DUE TO THIS VERY THING... I HAD MY SURGERY ON THE 11TH AND MY ANGEL POSTED WHILE I WAS IN THE HOSP AND ONLY GOT 3 RESPONSES... WELL I GUESS WE ARE IN THIS ALONE UNLESS WE TRULEY FIND SOME PEOPLE WHO CARE... GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SURGERY COMING... I HAVE LOST 13 LBS IN 5 DAYS AND COULD NOT BE HAPPIER/// GOD BLESS YOU RAE

Judy, I too love this board and has been very helpful. At times it seems that there aren't many people replying. I feel bad for the people that don't get any responses. But the responses i have gotten when i posted were very nice. I guess people just respond to what pertains to them. There just must be alot of people dying their hair blonde. I am not trying to defend them, but I think at this point in our journey we want answers to other questions. To many, this board has become like family. So sometimes they do ask other things besides WLS questions. I am pretty much obsessing with the board lately, I can't get enough info. I check the main board, my state board, and this board. With this board the surgery is either about to happen or has happened. (sorry rambling) I just want to thank you and the others who have replied to me. We're all here to help and support each other no matter how small or off topic the question is. Annie
