One week away and finally a GLITCH -- VENT!!

I am so frustrated -- I haven't really slept, waiting to find out the outcome of my stress test. I thought all was well -- "T Minute Whatever And Counting" -- and then I get a call at 4 pm yesterday that the Cardiologist wants me to make an appointment to see him today. This was unexpected by everyone, and due to the lateness of the hour, no one could reach him to find out what it was about -- my primary care physician even tried to call him at home and called me at almost 10 pm to say she still had not heard from him and SHE was frustrated. How can people be so flip about other people's lives? This Cardio office did a similar thing in getting approval for the stress test -- they did not TRY to get approval until 4 pm the day before and, no surprise, they told me they had to cancel it. I moved mountains and HAD the stress test approved by 6 pm, and had the stress test the next morning. But no mountains moved last night, and here I wait at the crack of dawn for an office to open. Aaaarrrrrrggggggh!!!

I can so relate to this! I am having surgery Monday (4/18). Last Thursday I saw my surgeon and they decided to switch from open to lap, so they call the insurance and over the phone the insurance people say I am approved. So two days ago they call and say that they are putting it under review. Which normally takes over a week to go through that process, so I was going to loose my surgery date. I was a mess, have made arrangements for my 3 kids to be taken care of. Family coming into town to take care of me, blah blah blah. Fortunately the insurance people expedited it and did get me approved that day after numerous phone calls, but not fun. I hope everything comes back well for you with the cardiologist!
