4 days til surgery....

four more days til i have surgery and i am seriously freaking out and stressing out ... i am absolutly terrified have i made the right decision?? what if i dont make it through the surgery ..? these are jsut some of the things running in my head.... i could use any support you guys could give me and my support page has like three comments on it so i feel rather pathetic... Danielle, I'm right there with you. I'm down to 3 days, too and am totally stressed out about it. I have the same feelings running through my head. I know all this is normal. Nancy

Hi Danielle, If you can put the risks of surgery in perspective, perhaps that might help. You are probably at significantly more risk of injury every time you get into your car, but that doesn't freak you out because you do it every day. I'm having my surgery on April 18, and for a few days I had concerns too. Right now, though, I'm feeling very excited and positive thinking about all the good reasons for taking what is a pretty slight risk. After all, the risks of remaining seriously obese are far higher - a significantly shorter lifespan and poor qualilty of life are almost certainties. In a few days, you'll be on the other side and it will all have been worth it. Best wishes for a positive experience and swift recovery. Barb
