Surgery date 4/18

I want to be a member of the 4-18 club! Tomorrow are my pre-ops. Monday can't come too soon for me. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL!

There is a UPDATE I was scheduled for a 4-19-05 operation date, but I got a call from my doctor yesterday and he has moved it to Monday the 18th of this month!!! I said yes the sooner the better. So today I went to my pre-op exam and had the grand tour of the hospital and met some of the staff that will be taking care of me ! That was so nice of my doctor to take the time to do that. I feel Like I am part of his family. It is so awesome.. to Dr.Todd and his office staff!! Well U all are going to be great support I think some day we will have to have a get together and celabrate this "Great Birthday". How does that sound, If you want to write me check out my profile and write me....TLA

I'm joining you all on the 18th! Yeah - the nerves are there, but I am settling in with all that I'm about to face. The alternatives are far worse. Many prayers and well wishes to all my April 18th peeps! Gina

Thanks Tina ! Hope all goes well for you on Monday also. I think I will not have a problem as I am going to be able to go in a day early and be able to be stablized and get use to the Hospital. Infact my doctor took me for a tour of the OR and the PCU (Patient Care Unit) yesterday so I could get to know the nurses that would be taking care of me. That was nice of him. OH WOW!!! There are a LOT of us on the 18th! I'm just starting to get nervous! I mean, I always had a little fear about it, but I'm so determined that it was helping w/ the nerves. Now that the 18th is in just a few days I'm starting to shake in my boots! I have all kinds of plans for the next few days. Everyone wants to take me out for "last supper"s... which I think is hysterical because they just don't get that I WILL be able to eat again! Just not NEARLY as much as I do now. Luckily I'm first surgery in the morning on MOnday, so I'll probably be half asleep when I get to the hospital. I just wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK! And to all of my fellow 18thers....
