OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!

IT IS ALMOST HERE AND I AM SO NERVOUS. I START MY LIQIUD DIET TOMMORROW & THAT WILL BE AN ADVENTURE ITSELF. I HAVE PUT EVERYTHING IN GODS HANDS. PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS.....

Dear Tabby, It is natural what you are feeling. Pray and everything will be fine. To tell you the truth the only scary part about the surgery is waiting for it to be done. Once you are at the hospital you will just want them to hurry up and get it over with. I promise! when you wake up after surgery you will be amazed at how fast it was done and how good you feel (considering you just had surgery). Now I cant promise you no pain but I can promise you it will not be as bad as you think. Take care and let me know how everything went!

I know how your are feeling, my WLS is April 18th. I'm excited and scared to death at the same time. I'm having open RNY at Hurley hospital in Flint,at 7:30 A.M. have to report at 5:00 A.M. Told my husband at least I get to go to sleep for a little while. Place your trust in God and you can't fail. Be praying for you. Louise

Hi Tabby, I'm having surgery tomorrow and I'm just a very little nervous. The liquid hasn't been bad at all today. I had over 120 oz. by 1:00pm! It is 6 pm now and I can't believe the day has flown by and realize that by this time tomorrow I'll be out of surgery and probably giving my poor husband a bad time Hang in there and we will get smaller together. Yeah! God bless you and I'm praying for all that are having surgery this week. Blessings, Liz

It is hard not to put yourself in the writers' shoes in this thread. I go on for surgery on April 21st. I think I need a valium (oops -- was that mentioning a product?). I wish you both the best of luck in your surgeries. We are all very courageous, aren't we.... Marla

Tabby nd others, I am up early so will say a prayer right now for all of you haing surgery this morning or this week. I know the prayers really helped me. Let me tell you of a small miracle I experienced last week. I had to have an Upper GI xray to check for leakage in the stomach. I asked the tech if I had a choice of chocolate or strawberry. She said no that this wasn't barium, it was licorice flavored and thinner. I hate licorice. I could only imagine how much it would hurt to gaga that stuff down. So I prayed that God would change the taste to chocolate or lemon. The tech mixed the drink and it was Chocolate! I asked her if she had reflavored it and she said no. I told her God had done the trick for me. No gags, and no leaks. Thank you, Jesus!
