Still sore and gassy.
It should get better over time. I am still very sore. I know I had a liver biopsy while he was poking around in there (it is standard for my surgeon to do) so Im thinking most of my soreness must be from that snip of my liver he took. My tummy hurts if I drink too fast or too much so I have to remind myself to SIP slowly but sip alot, it isnt easy to get it all in for me. Im still on liquids, no food yet and sugar free creamscicles do help it feel better and they taste like a real creamsicicle! Mine is gradually getting better , mention it to your surgeon when you follow up. I follow up tommorrow so I will finally get to weigh
Oh the gas! Its very difficult to strain just for a tiny squeek of relief, but it too will pass. I'm one week out and can tooty toot toot quite easily now much to my husbands delight or not. *grin*
As to the stomach ache, I noticed when I sip too much at one time my stomach lets me know. Slow small sips is what I have to do most of the day. Also, what kind of food are you taking in? I also found that milk based products made my stomach hurt and caused me to reflux a couple times. Not fun. I'm sticking to clear liquids with exception of Advant Edge, (the 1 carb version) and am seeming to take that fairly well. Has 15 grams of protien per serving. I'm also downing Isopure Zero Carb protein drink, comes in different flavors but still takes some effort to down an entire bottle in one day. The best thing I'm enjoying right now is chicken broth with about one ounce of meat baby food mixed in about 3 ounces of broth. Very tasty. Hope that helps provide some comfort.
Wish you the best!

Really Sandy? I had a liver biopsy last year and it hurt like the bejeebers but only during the actual procedure. They did one while doing the surgery because my Gastro doc wanted it but I didn't think that would cause the pain. I feel like I've been in a fight but it all seems more external like muscles and skin than internal. To be honest, I can't get used to calling my stomach a pouch and haven't brought myself to touch the area so I wouldn't know if it felt yucky or not. Too tender!
