home from the hospital

i had surgery on tuesday, i came home thursday morning, i felt the hospital had done all they could for me, and the rest is up to me. im bruised horrifically from my belly button to my hip and of course i have about 9 staples. the surgery went well and the pain is intolerable and tolerable all at the same time. but im exhausted still. i hope that the weekend proves to be healing for me. i hope the rest of you are doing quite well...

Welcome home Stephanie. You are among friends. Being home is the best treatment you can get. Peace, quiet, your own room and furniture, all of the peaceful creature comforts. I'm tired, I couldn't sleep in the hospital but I'll be okay. Welcome to the Losing Side! Lisa

WELCOME BACK! Glad to see you have made it back home already and are doing well. It does get easier day by day. I slept on my tummy last night and it was GREAT!. Its still a learning process for me but I feel wonderful for the first time in a long time. Keep us posted on your progress. Hugs, Sandy

You just had major surgery - exhaustion is to be expected. Alot of people on the boards say that it takes a few months to get most of the energy back. I had the lap procedure and am more sore than anything. I feel like I have done way too many crunches and by the end of the day, I am pretty uncomfortable. I take pain medication when I go to bed and it seems to help me sleep. I have been taking frequent walks and that probably aggrevates the situation but it does seem to cut down on the gas.

Congrats and welcome home Stephanie! I had surgery Monday. I have no pain now except from coughing (stupid allergies here in TX) and some cramps from PMS. I can sleep on my side again. Keep making yourself walk around and remember it's all good to come Lisa 254/235/150
