Sugar Free, Carb Free Carnation Instant Breakfast at Target! I bought 8 envelopes for 3.99 or you can buy a package of 4, pre mixed for 3.99. Each envelope has 4 gms protein. I bought Hoods Carb Countdown milk fat free version at Target too, I think it was 2.79 half gallon. 1 serving =1 cup which is the amt needed for the Carnation Instant Breakfast. Together this one drink has 16oz of protein!.. I can drink one serving if I drink it slowly. It isnt the greatest amount of protein in any one item but at least it is a start when you have to be on liquids and cant eat yet... Give it a try!...... Hoods also has the Carb Countdown Chocolate milk with 12 gms protein, so Im going to have one serving of this before bed... I got the Chocolate CIB, it is satisfying my taste for chocolate right now How are you guys getting in your protein post op? Hugs, Sandy

Hi Rita! I love this stuff! I do have a can of Any Whey Virtually Tasteless protein powder but it only has like 17g protein a scoop and I can still taste it. It seems to make my soup gummy and so far I cant seem to stand it, but still working on finding a way to learn to love it Hugs, Sandy

I've only been able to find the French Vanilla CIB. They have a web site though where you can order it by the case, and it's a variety pack. Not exaclty sure what flavors other than vanilla and chocolate, but I am going to try the vanilla. If I like it, I will think of ordering it from the web.

Hi Linda! If it is any consolation, I was given vanilla in the hospital. Im not a big fan of vanilla anything and I liked this, give it a try. Thanks for the info and I will check into ordering it online myself. Hugs, Sandy

Hi Sandy--Here's a Chocolate Protein Drink recipe from my WLS support group leader. It has 73 grams of protein (though I have read that only about 25-30 are absorbed at one time...anyone know for sure?) and is enough for 2 servings 2 scoops Zero Carb Isopure (Vanilla, from GNC) 50 grams Protein 1 scoop Beneprotein 6 grams P (Walgreens online or Bariatric programs) 1 packet Carnation Inst Breakfast (SF for "Carb Conscious") 4 grams P 1 Tbsp. Cocoa powder 1 gram P 2 cups Lactaid, skim milk or soy milk 16 grams P Mix in a blender with 2-3 ice cubes until smooth. She also suggests using a gravy strainer to get rid of the foam on top. Enjoy! Hugs--Sunny

Sunny! Thank You!!! I will have to go to GNC and pick up a can of this Isopure tomorrow, *maybe* this will be something I can use this Any Whey protein powder in and still like it!... I had no idea cocoa powder had 1 gm of protein I went to our local food world grocery store tonight and found a "sugar free" section. I found ****tail sauce, steak sauce, ranch dressing and believe it or not brownie mix! Yes, sugar free brownie mix!.. I was very surprised. At 5.65 for a bag of the mix, it will be a LONG time before I even think of buying this, but then again, look at the money I save by not eating out, maybe a once in a blue moon treat Right now my taste for junk has completely left me and I hope it stays that way! Hello Evening Star! I see your posts everywhere. You are definitely a bright and shining to us all so I am glad that I might be able to help you with some protein drinks. I am still pre-op but my surgeon gave me some protein samples to try. I really love my surgeon by the way! I have been trying the protein samples before because I thought it would be a good idea, rather than having something horrible to drink right after the surgery. I have found that Syntrax is wonderful. If you like chocolate, I would highly recommend "Perfect Chocolate" it tastes great. I didn't have skim milk so I mixed it with 2% this morning and it was wonderful. (One side note, when I tried the vanilla, I just mixed it with a fork and it was a bit lumpy so when I tried the chocolate I put it in the blender and pulsed a couple of times and it was very smooth) I am sure skim or if you are lactose intolerant any other "non-milk" product would be great. I don't know if you can get it at traditional stores, but I did find it online at bariatriceating.com, there may be other places I just haven't done a "search" yet. I have also tried "Simply Vanilla" really wonderful, "Roadside Lemonade-great by itself but also awesome mixed with Crystal light-"Strawberry, Orange, Banana" I did 8 oz crystal light and 1/2 serving of Roadside lemonade-tasted alot like a smoothie, and I have also tried the "Fuzzy Navel", it was great by itself also. The "fruity" ones are called Nectar and the vanilla and chocolate are called Matrix 5.0. They all have 20+ grams of protein in an 8 oz serving. Sorry the post is so long but I wanted to share all!

Hi Carol, yeah I have way too much time on my hands since I am limited right now as to what I can do, so I pretty much light up the internet for now Thanks for the tips. I know I can get the Matrix locally at Golds Gym, and have planned to try it. Alot of people have recommended it for its taste so it must be good. Im playing around with this Any Whey powder today. I have some sugar free Hawaiian Punch mix, so Im gonna make something good n tasty with alot of protein in it, we hope Thanks again! Hugs, Sandy
