Has anyone tried these? Im thinking of ordering some but I would like to hear from other's who have tried them. Are they worth it? What flavors do you reccommend to try? Any other products you care to share about, please do! ES

I've tried these. Actually, I need to order some more! I like all of the flavors and think that they're worth it. The first time I ordered them, I just got the box of mixed flavors. There's 14 grams of protein in each one - they help me to get in that extra protein I don't always get in my meals. I've also recently tried the South Beach Diet meal replacement bars. They have a bit of a higher sugar content than I usually eat, but if I stretch out the time it takes me to eat one and don't snarf it down, I'm okay. The one I'm looking at now has no sugar, but 19 grams of sugar alcohols. Nancy

Hi Nancy! Thanks for answering. I think I will start off with the mixed flavors too. I have tried the South Beach bars but they are too hard for me to chew. I have a broken partial and I cant eat those protein bars that are hard and chewy, until my dentist makes my new partial. Are these like that? Unfortunately, sugar does not bother me at all. My taste for sweets has changed. I really do not like sweet desserts now. I have never dumped. I do like the South Beach dinners too. One has 30 grams of protein. I cant remember which one, but all are high in protien and perfect for me to take to work. Give the dinners a try. Thanks again! ES

Yes, the South Beach bars are harder to chew. You'll be able to handle them when you get that partial fixed, though. The Power Crunch bars will be easy for you to chew. They're like those sugar wafer cookies, but don't have the sugar. I'm actually glad I can't handle sugar. It makes it VERY easy to pass up sweet stuff now. I don't dump, but I do get very warm and my heart starts beating faster. It takes 20-30 minutes to go away. I can have a taste, though, but not more than a couple bites. I haven't tried the South Beach dinners, but if they're as good as the meal bars, it's worth a try - thanks! Nancy

I think the SB dinners are better than the bars, for me anyway. Easier to chew I work evenings and do not cook everyday so another quick find was Marie Callender's pot pies. They are delicious. I dont eat all the topping but try to fill up on the chicken pieces and probably waste more than I eat but for less than $3.00 a meal you cant beat it. I cant wait to try the power cruch bars! I see they have a new mix to try. Cinnamon Bun! I love anything cinnamon. Ive ordered the original and the new mix. That Matrix hot chocolate looks good too, have you tried that? Thanks a bunch! ES

Nancy, I walked into our local GNC and guess what I found? Yep, power crunch bars! They only carried the new flavors so I tried one of each. Peanut Butter has to be my favorite! Cinnamon runs second but they are so expensive there, I will be looking for a online source to purchase. You were right! These are good, and very easy to chew! ES

I'm gonna have to check out our local GNC! I can't remember what I paid for them last time I ordered them, but it's worth at least checking GNC out. I ordered mine originally from bariatriceating.com. Thanks! Nancy

The funny part is I went in there looking for the "Oh Yeah" wafer bars, which are supposed to be better than the Power crunch bars, from what Ive heard. I found the snicker type "Oh yeah" bars but I wanted the wafer type and lo and behold, I found Power Crunch at GNC! I plan to order some from bariatriceating.com. Im waiting formy sampler protien powder to arrive. It will be here, tomorrow I also found a organic protien bar with 4 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protien at my local health food store. Its by Natures Path and I bought the orange chocolate. They were on sale for 99 cents so I tought i would try em. They are fabulous! Not much "organic" healthy stuff has a good taste but those do. Check out the ready to drink protien drinks at GNC. I found the RTD 40, with 40 grams of protien in 15 ounces on sale for 1.69. I bought 6 of them for less than 3.00. I dont think the girl rang it up right and i mentioned it but she insisted it was 2.98 or whatever it was so I didnt argue with her. i think she gave me an additional 20 percent off the sale price, whatever, it was a bargain.
