Having Trouble~~~~Losing TOO much

Well, I never thought I'd be saying this, but I believe to need to gain some weight!! I met with my surgeon last thursday and boy was he NOT happy! I weighed in at 119 pounds and he about flipped! I showed him my food journal and we discussed it at length. I am eating within the ranges he has set up, but I keep losing. He told me to increase my calories to 2000 a day for 2 weeks to see if I gain anything. The problem is...I have about 15-20 pounds of skin so he said that I actually weigh closer to 100 pounds and that is very UNHEALTHY! My Labs are great, my eating is fine, so what is going on? My size 4's are getting big and everyone tells me that I'm taking this weight loss to the extreme. I just don't know how to stop the weight loss. I've tried getting in 2000 calories, but I just can't eat that much, so what's a girl to do??? Any help or suggestions?

Hi, I can relate to your plight. Right now I have reached my goal of 135 - but I am concerned that I may continue to lose. The excess skin does weigh close to 20 pounds - but I do not want to take a risk on the thigh surgery. My size 6's are starting to get baggy. I hope that someone has suggestions. Lara

Not to make light of your situation...but I wish i could say I was losing I have been stuck at -112 lbs for a few months now...I still need to lose 50-70lbs. I have to admit...i turned back to my old eating habits but now I have it under control...so hopefully pounds will start to drop. Pray all works out for u. ~Dee

I,too, stopped losing at 1 year out and only lost -90 pounds. I have put on 20 pounds since October and can'tseem to lose it. I am beside myself. Any advise. I needed to go another 30-40 pounds after the -90 loss. Tell me what you are doing. Karen

I lost too much too but was able to stop it by eating more sugary foods. Now that I'm where I want I eat regularly (with some junk thrown in). Did your doctor mention enzymes? My surgeon mentioned this to me when I was getting too low. Apparently, taking them can help slow/stop the wt. loss (at least for the DS). Perhaps it'd be worth calling him and mentioning it.
