Hi Laura. I think you are playing my song! I am thinking about going to Weigh****chers or some other support group. Another WLS friend and I are also trying to get a group going in our area to be supportive. I bet there are more than 3 of us in the same boat from the April board. Let's see if we can encourage each other. Okay?

Hi Donna. I wear support stockings all the time, and that really helps keep my legs and ankles from swelling. Good luck at the doctor's.

I dont remember being this swollen after my GBS but i was much bigger then and maybe did not notice, anyway, I have gained about 12 pounds and my legs are huge, about an inch larger just around the ankles. I am drinking a LOT of water and walking around, how else can I get this off?? I go to the surgeon tomorrow, he is going to change the bandages and I will also ask him tomorrow,
have a great week.

Hey all, I never reached goal and am still in the obese catagory. I lost about 80lbs but have put back 10. I'm struggling with eating and I feel like I eat just as a pre-op. If I were to go out with a friend that didnt know I had wls, they wouldn't know by the amount I can eat. Can you all eat like before? Anyone out here that are in fear of gaining it all back?

Topic: RE: went to church just 4 days later!!!
Hi Donna. That's such a cute story about falling asleep in church. It's great that you felt like going even if you didn't make it through the whole service. I did that after my first surgery....not the falling asleep, but the leaving early. I'm sure everyone was just tickled to see you there at all. Way to go on your TT. I'm sure you will look like a million bucks after all the swelling subsides.
