Topic: RE: Exercise?
I'm doing an hour of cardio (eliptical, treadmill & bike -- or whichever mood strikes me) and 1/2 hour of weights 4 to 5 times a week. I did a water aerobics class last month, but missed my gym time. I can't imagine I'm actually admitting to that!!! I actually love to sweat now -- my sweetie tells me I don't look very ladylike when I come home from the gym tho!!! He's loving every minute of it...
Does anyone know at what percent we should be targeting our heart rate? I'm staying around 80-85%. Also, has anyone tried the monitors you wear on your body? and are they really worthwhile?

Topic: RE: lets tally our loss
Y'all are doing so great. I'm down 80. I lost real fast (70 the first 6 months) and then lost 10 the next 6 months and am here currently at 180-185 depending upon the day. I'm grateful for the 80, but really want another 20 or so off. Everyone says I look awesome and they can't believe I still weigh 180....they couldn't believe I even qualified for the surgery (260)...even my surgeon didn't believe it 'til he saw the numbers on how much I weighed. I've always held my weight well. I haven't posted much because of feeling so bad after seeing how good y'all are doing. Keep it up.

I was probably thinking about a tootsie roll when I used that analogy. LOL I absolutely love eating them, just hate looking like them.
Topic: RE: Running Update
Hmmm. no I never do. I haven't found a goo type product that's not sugary, but I really haven' t looked.
I always make sure that I have had plenty of protien before my run and that I'm very well hydrated before running. Then I switch between plain water and hydrolyte every 3 or so miles. I've learnd to fill my cheeks up so that I can slowy sip my water as I run.
My husband slices up a protien bar and munches on that on really long runs, but he doesn't usually need anything unless he's running beyond ten miles.
I'm interested to see what you figure out.
Use the force...good luck,
Rachel
