Topic: My profile is very pretty !!!!! Take a look
I finally got my spruced up profile and I absolutely love it, it is exactly what I was looking for!!!!!
I read all your postings when you get your profile prettied up, and think they look really nice but the feeling when your personal profile is dressed up is like you wearing a new dress and getting a compliment.
I have not kept up with my profile, so I will be spending many days putting my thoughts down so you all can share more of my experience.
I do not know who did my profile or how to thank the volunteer so if anyone knows drop me a line.

Topic: RE: getting back on the wagon!
Donna, I also been slipping - I have only been getting one protein shake a day in. Only one set of my vitamins a day. I have been on Vacation for the last two weeks and have been eating eating eating. Also too many beers.
So- this week is back on the wagon and on with the program. I have 18 pounds to go and want them off!! I have the power to do this.

Topic: getting back on the wagon!
hi everyone! with school out for the summer, my schedule was...well there was no schedule! I have two kids, my 18 year old graduated this past May and my 16 year old will be in 11th grade in a little over a week YAHOOO!!
with them being out of school, they kind of came and went as they wanted and since they can cook for themselves, they ate when they wanted too.
I have got to my goal but I think the last part was due to me having those two infections and getting to spend some time in the hospital.
last year when my daughter got on the bus, I would start my 3 mile walk! so I am hoping to start this again.
my son on the other hand is a totally different story. he is going to start college soon and he also works a lot so I won't see him that much. but with my daughter back in school, i can set back up my schedule and also eat better. its so hard to eat on a schedule with a bored 16 year old in the house, plus it was just too dang hot and humid to go outside lately.
I was pretty much always getting my fluids in but I am lacking in protein, so back to fitday for me and keeping a notebook on my daily stuff.
anyone else in this boat too?? let me know, maybe we can help each other

Certainly do gotta run!
Cool on you that you've got a nice high BMR like mine I ran 4.5 miles today and it felt GREAT! 5.5 miles next week and I'm excited for it!!!
Big hugs to you Rachel,

Topic: RE: Runners - Your board is lonely
I'm pimping it every place I can think of, to see if we can get some action going on it. I am having a revalation of sorts in learning how to fuel this body of mine. I'd love to hear from people who've been there/done that how they fuel their post-op bodies.
Hugs to you Rachel,

I've posted there a few times. Never got any responses.

Good info Lara! I just had my BMR tested. Mine runs a little high. The # of calories i can eat with out gaining came in somewhere around 1700 or 1800 (I don't have the results in front of me).
Gotta run,
Rachel
Topic: RE: hubby said i am too skinny now!
I think it's hard for people who were used to the "old" bodies we had to adjust to our new bodies. My mother always says that I'm wasting away (PLEASE!!!...I weigh 175 pounds at 5' 6"...far from being skinny). She's smaller than I am (weight and size) but I LOOK LIKE I'M WASTING AWAY?!?
I will say that I think my neck and face show the most dramatic weight loss. In fact, I've spotted a couple of wrinkles on my neck. At age 36, I definitely don't want to see wrinkles on my neck.
Anyway, congratulations on your weight loss. I think you look healthy in your pictures, not emaciated or anorexic at all.

Trying to drum up posters for the Running board - I've got questions about WLS and running. . .and I'd like those who've been there to help with some answers. Here's what I posted on the Main board:
Hello all you current and aspiring runners - we have a great forum that no one seems to use. Please drop by and share your experience or aspirations with us.
