what's your cholesterol?
I just got my labs back from my one year check-up and she said my potassium is a little low (I guess I need to eat more bananas) and my cholesterol is now 194. Before surgery it was 256, so it's improved.
I know under 200 isn't bad but I was wondering what everyone elses cholesterol is now that we are supposed to be eating "healthy" (I like eggs lol)

Michelle, congrats on lowering your cholesterol...I have always been a "freak" of nature in regards to blood pressure and chol....
Before surgery - 118 lbs heavier....
blood pressure: 120/60
chol: in the range of 160; good chol was good and bad was good too
After surgery, 118 lbs gone forever...
blood pressure: 90/60...sometimes as low as 80/50...makes me blackout....
chol: a few weeks ago - 142 - good is good, bad is good too....

Cholesterol Before: 199 After Surgery: (3 mos): 144 Now: 149
I started off eating the lowfat or no fat cheese. Now I'm not as picky - why the slight increase. My surgeon said it's still great. He said it was even lower than his!
